This shirt fits well & has a lovely feel, but I wish there were a choice of lining colors. I bought the black shirt but, because it comes with a red lining that I decided I really do not like, I'm going to return it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ScarlettTN sleeves way too short
I bought size Petite XS while I usually wear S for LLBean jackets. The waist is perfect but sleeves do need 2 inches longer. After washing, the cotton lining is kind of loose or puffy but overall it didn't shrink. I like the fabric, the color, the waist size and the quality, but the sleeves are just weired.

One could quite comfortably wear this shirt all day and then sleep in it at night. The fabric is about the softest I've ever encountered. Both the corduroy and the plaid flannel lining are cushy soft. The styling is nice too. It does run a bit large, advertised as "relaxed fit." I wear size 8-10 and originally ordered the shirt in size M but had to exchange it for a size S. The S is still plenty roomy. I should have bought this shirt years ago!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Baxy1 Wonderful Winter Shirt
I live in Central Illinois where it is cold/chilly 5-6 months of the year and this shirt is very warm and comfortable. I purchased the black in XL and love the dark pink contrast in the lining and sleeves when rolled up. I am watching for a holiday sale so that I can order another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LongtimeBeansfan Corduroy Lined Big Shirt
I just received the lined corduroy big shirt in blue and I love it! I had been somewhat concerned that it would be too big and therefore sloppy looking but wanted to try one because many of the reviews raved about how soft and comfy it was. I wear a Large and Bean's sizes usually fit me well. This shirt is no exception. It is roomy but the sleeves are a perfect length and it fits nicely over a thermal driver's shirt. I like how it is lined and the flannel used. The fabric is truly wonderfully soft and comfy. The blue color is a little brighter than I thought it would be but is really pretty and goes with a lot of my t-necks. I'm looking forward to a cozier winter now.

Love it but should size down 1 size. lining is too long & has a bulg, crease in back. should hav been hemmed separate. Expected better quality from LL Bean from what friends told me!worn 3 times haven't washed yet but I'm sure it won't shrink to adjust difference in length of the 2 materials.

Rated 2 out of 5 by fl2sd Too Big Shirt
I have several LL Bean women's tops and all in a size small, and they all fit just fine. I ordered this in a small and I felt like I was wearing my father's shirt. Way too big!! Ridiculous! I had to return it, which cost me return freight and I hate losing money! But there was no way I was going to wear it. The shirt looked very warm and soft and I loved the materials. But only purchase this if you want an extremely oversized shirt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TPS222 Great shirt!
I recently received the three lined Big Corduroy Shirts that I purchased, and I am thrilled. They are beautiful, and they fit! I ordered 3 shirts: Black, Garnet, and the Cobalt Sea. The red shade really "pops." It is a brighter in person and definitely brighter than on my monitor or on the model--- hers looks to be a deeper shade of red because she doesn't appear to be in bright light. Personally, I LOVE this shade of red. In person, the blue shirt looks just like the color on my monitor. Both are beautiful colors IMHO.
99.9% of the time, I wear a Medium in shirts, and the Medium is what I ordered from LL Bean for these shirts. For reference, I am 5'5", weigh 130 lbs, have a 40" bust, 36" hips, but we won't talk about my waist after birthing 4 babies. ;) I have plenty of room to layer under these big corduroy shirts with a medium weight sweater, and I still have some room left over which is great! The shirt's sleeve length is gracious plenty and somewhat on the longish side, but I would rather have it be a tad longish than have it be too short. The sleeve length falls to almost the middle of my hand. The shirt itself falls about 1" above my bum, so for me it is a shirt length and not a tunic length.
I haven't washed any of the shirts yet, so I can't speak to any problems with shrinkage. I will be VERY careful not to shrink these shirts because I love them just the way they fit right now. LL Bean also includes an extra button which is sewn on the lower inside of the shirt. I am very impressed with the workmanship of these shirts. They were definitely worth their price.
BTW, I also ordered 2 of the UNlined Big Corduroy Shirts. I will post my review under that shirt, as well. Just in case something goes amiss with that review, I will post something here and now. These shirts fit exactly the same way all over as the lined Big Corderoy Shirts EXCEPT for the sleeve length. The unlined shirts were just a tad shorter. On me, they fell slightly below my wrists which is really the perfect fit.
The 2 unlined shirts that I ordered were: Deep Aqua Teal and Twilight. Both are beautiful shades! The Deep Aqua Teal is actually the lighter and brighter shade of the 2 shirts--with lots more green than blue to make up its teal shade. When I think of the word "deep" to describe a color, I think of a darker color, definitely NOT a brighter color. I wonder if someone got the colors mixed up when they were doing the catalog and website with photos and accompanying descriptions. Oh well, whatever. They are both beautiful shirts, and I love both colors.
To describe the Deep Aqua Teal in one word--"WOW!" It is a "looker" and simply stunning. It is my favorite color of all the shirts that I ordered. And as I said earlier, it has more green than blue to make up it teal color. Beautiful color IMHO.
The Twilight color is not the dark, dark color that appears on my computer monitor. In person, it is a lighter, softer and more muted shade of teal. And it truly is a teal shade. Beautiful! If you have a catalog, it is the exact color that the blonde model is wearing. In fact, I ordered this color shirt because of her, not the color on my monitor. LL Bean also includes an extra button with the unlined Big Shirts. Thank you for those, LL Bean. :)
Well, I hope that I helped someone with my review. I try to put everything in a review that I want to read about when deciding on a purchase and what size to order. If these shirts are any indicator of the kind of quality found at LL Bean, I'll be ordering LOTS more merchandise from LL Bean in the future. :)

What a great shirt! The red is so vibrant, and I love the roomy fit. I ordered the same size I wear in the unlined corduroy and was afraid it would be too tight when layered, but it's a perfect fit! It's soft as a cloud. Definitely recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LLBeanCustomerinAZ Well made, but not for me
This shirt is good quality and the color (blue) is bright and beautiful. I tried on the non-lined version of this shirt in the store, so I already knew that it ran big (perhaps for layering). I am 5'5", 165 lbs and wore the Medium Petite. Not what I would have expected. The sleeves fit perfectly in that size. The style is very large and boxy and my main reason for returning it will be because it does not keep me warm. I wanted to use it in place of a sweater or fleece. I put it on for a couple of hours in 50-degree outdoor weather and it didn't keep me warm because of the style being so large, the cold air snuck up through the open spaces in the body and sleeves of the shirt. I am not someone who layers (living in the desert), so this style doesn't work for me.
