This shoe was very stiff and not at all comfortable. This is not the quality I have come to expect from LL Bean. I had high hopes that these would be a great gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fussylady1 great alternative to lace up boots
With the snow falling in New England, hubby has grown tired of his L L Bean heavy duty, lace up boots (although he wouldn't trade them in for those heavy snow days.) These are a great, lighter alternative for those days when you don't need the overkill of the lace up boots. He's been wearing them to work (building maintenance) and to shovel the lighter amounts of snow we seem to be getting every other day.

I got these for a friend who is a horseman. His feet stay damp and cold. So we thought we'd try these. So far, they fit well, and his feet are dry. So our purpose was met entirely.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Annie1402 Too big
Too big every which way and not very attractive. It was a Goldilocks moment: I ordered 3 different slip-on boots, hoping to keep two of them. This and another were too big, the 3rd too small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bklyn51 Slip ons
Overall, they are warm, comfortable and waterproof (my go to shoe for snow shoveling). The only concern I have is when I try to slip them on, the back of my right shoe collapses - I need to hold the little tab at the back of the shoe to get them on. This has led to the collapse of the back on the right side, making it more difficult to get on.

The shoes fit, as usual, Bean sizes and widths are perfect for me. The quality is top notch, color and all esle also just as advertised. I have no qualms about giving this a 5 star rating. Bean's products were my late father's favorites, and mine now, too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sidney3883 Tighter than expected, same problem with wear
These shoes were quite a bit tighter than other LL Bean shoes of the same size, in particular the Snow Chaser Slip-ons. Shoes did not last me six months, which is my guidepost with the heavy use I give shoes. Same problem as the other Bean shoes I have purchased over the last few years -- the fabric on the back inside of the shoe easily tears from friction with the sock and back of foot, exposing the insulation and, most importantly, the waterproof lining (which even more easily tears, rendering the shoe water-logged rather than waterproof). Seems to me you could use a tougher fabric for the outer lining of the interior of your shoes. Sole held up well, although keep in mind only for the 5 months I wore them. Great customer service as always!!

I have a pair of the womens snow sneakers and having worn them for two winters I ,love them so when my husband wanted a low shoe for the winter I purchased the mens version for him. The reviews from customers helped to pick the right size. With my husbands inserts he needs to wear in the shoes, the shoes fit perfectly and he is very pleased with the color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Disapointedrecipient Waterproof and warm
I ordered the snow sneakers a few years ago when they were available with the laces for men. Boots that cover the ankle are uncomfortable for my husband so the snow sneakers keep his feet warm and dry without the discomfort of a boot. The last couple of pair have been the slip on variety which are still warm and waterproof but lack the comfort of a lace up. Great boots--the only thing that would make them better would be bringing back the lace up variety.
