Walked the dogs for 1 mile in 25 degree dry weather. Feet got cold.
Tried again at a 21 degree dry nite at an outdoor fire pit style party. Feet still cold. Have yet to test in snow to see if they really keep your feet dry. Fit a tad too tight although I bought proper foot size. Wouldn't recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by CaptainFritz Ideal for most light snowy days
I had a pair of these "snow sneakers" about 5 years ago.. They are the best all around shoe for most lighter snowfall days and slushy situations. They hold up well and keep your feet warm at the same time. However, I have to agree with some of the previous reviews about the sizing, although for different reasons. I normally wear about an 11C, since I have a fairly narrow foot. These are styled a little differently from the previous model. The toe is definitely narrower. But that was good for me. But I did find them short, and had to return to get an 11 1/2. The rest of the shoe is fine except a little wide for me in the heel. So I usually wear heavier socks to compensate. If not for the sizing situation, I would have given them 5 stars.

I originally ordered the men's Insulated Comfort Moccasins. They were a disaster... Customer service helped me with that return (thanks again!) and I opted for the Waterproof Slip-on Snow Sneakers. They fit fine... I was looking for casual shoes that I could wear around the house and go out to the store, casual dining, etc.. while keeping my feet warm. These covered all these bases....
During the recent Arctic freeze gripping the east coast, I have worn theses shoes and they do keep my feet warm (even without heavier socks.) I can wear them all day without my feet getting tired. They are a bit clunky (in a good was as they were designed cold, wet weather) but I like them. They do run a bit on the larger side, but not enough that I would recommend getting a smaller size... Just wear slightly heavier socks (I think the LL Bean customer representative recommended that these should be worn with medium weight socks....)
Overall, I would recommend these shoes

I bought the Waterproof Snow Sneakers, Slip-On, in anticipation of a trip to Germany in December. I'm happy I bought them early enough to take advantage of the warmth and comfort during an unusually cold November in Virginia. I was thinking I should break them in and wear them a few hours, then realized I'd had them on all day. They immediately felt like old friends, and kept my feet warm and dry all day. The sole has a sure grip, and will provide traction when I'll need it. I bought them in a nice gray color, and know I'll enjoy them all Winter whether sitting by the fire, or shoveling snow and puddle jumping. Thanks L.L. Bean for another great new product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RidersDad Not true to size
As you can see, I previously have written reviews for this slip on, and also the tall velcro model. I had to send my normal slip on size back because it was too narrow - as noted by many others. I have received the wider style for my size 11, and it is fitting nicely. It is obvious to the eye, and fit, that the slip on has a different size last on which it is produced - it is not an accurate duplicate for the full size boot. I strongly recommend that anyone purchasing this slip on either get the full size wide, or move up half a size (same result) to prevent your toes from being smashed. The construction is still very good, very comfy (with the correct fit) and warm.

I live up North in the Great Lakes region & these shoes will definitely fit my needs. I wear a 10 C/D Florsheim shoe & the 10 Medium fits well & very comfortable with a light to mid-weight merino wool sock. Don't make a mistake & buy anything else. These are great for taking out the dog, getting the mail & doing errands when the snow is not too deep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RidersDad Great, but, too narrow
I just bought the high top velcro version of this shoe and it fit great. Before the snow gets deep, I ordered this slip on model in the same size. The toe of the slip on is way too narrow, and, in fact, has quite different construction in that area. These are going back for a "wide".
All the other features are great; warm, comfy, nice soles, subtle color.

I typically wear LLBean moccasins unless there's deep snow, in which case I pull on my ole trusty LLBean boots. But I needed something a little less " clunky " than the boots when negotiating slushy or icy parking lots. Ergo the Snow Sneakers which have adequate tread and support with a snug but not-too-tight fit over regular socks. The high ankle support might become irritating after a long day at the mall, but until then that support is welcome. Time will tell, but for now I'm pleased with my purchase.
