Rated 2 out of 5 by PrefersUSmadegoods Disappointing, smells of vinyl
I bought these for my husband based on others' good reviews, but unfortunately I am returning them because they have a very strong and unpleasant smell (one I associate with synthetic shoes). I am not a leather expert, but it appears to me (based on looks and smell) that part of the lining is some sort of faux leather, vinyl-like material. (Perhaps L.L. Bean could confirm or deny this.) For this price, I would expect entirely leather lining. I also wish these were made in the U.S. rather than in China.

My husband has long envied my cozy camp boot and moccasin slippers, but kept buying scuffs for himself that didn't fit, didn't last, and ended up costing more than if he'd invested in Bean's elk hide in the first place. He wanted something he could slip on or off easily so he'd be more likely to change footwear at the door and not track in debris. He was not at all happy that his size wasn't available immediately and needed a bit of arm twisting before ordering a pair and resigning himself to await his back ordered prize. Well, they arrived a month earlier than promised and are supportive and comfortable, even for his mismatched size feet. If they're like other Bean's products, they'll last practically forever. Well worth the price and the wait. Thanks, Bean's!

These slippers are getting better with each wear. My only complaint is that they squeak when walking.

I wear a size 9.5. Ordered a size 10 as advised. Too large. Ordered a size 9. Too small. Sent them both back. I'm out $13.00. I would not recommend this product if you are a size in between.

I bought these as a gift for my dad. The moment he slipped his feet into them he remarked at how comfortable and supportive they felt. They replaced a previous LLBean pair and he is thrilled with them. The leather/leather lined feature allows them to be worn comfortably with socks - because the socks don't bunch when putting the slippers on. Great purchase for quality, fit and support.

Great quality and good looking slippers for around the house on a cold winter day.. I hated to return them but I ordered a 9.5D, my regular shoe size and they were too narrow and short for me. I should have ordered a 10E, or 1/2 size longer and wider. If you plan to wear socks with them, I would suggest you order one whole size larger and wider.
They will probably give you years of enjoyment if you order the right size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hipperootie Great look, feel and quality
These proved to be exactly as expected, exactly as described and pictured in the catalog. They fit perfectly (size 10), are high quality (expected at the price) and very comfortable. Particularly like the padding underfoot and the design which make them easy to slip into but don't inadvertently slip off.
