I have one of those dogs who requires a "hands free" walk on our city streets. When I take her for a walk in the warmer weather or to the dog run, we carry water, treats, bags and other light supplies. This bag is perfect for those brief outings with a light load. I would not count on using it for longer walks or with heavy loads (more than four pounds or so) but it does make for an attractive and easy way to carry over a short distance.

If you need a bag for those class trips or day trips with the kids when you need to carry some lunches, drinks and other what not's for the day this is the bag for you. You can fill it up and be hands free all day with no worries if the bag gets wet. Used it on my son's field trip to a farm and it rained most of the day but all inside stayed dry. The best part is after you empty the bag it folds up into it's own little pouch which can be carried in a purse or coat pocket, perfect! Loved the bag and will be using it again for sure!

The day pack is a perfect size for the essentials of a day trip. I do find the material a bit thin which is a positive in terms of the material drying quickly. I just hope the LL Bean quality holds true and the day pack can withstand the test of time despite the thin material.

I payed $30 for a nearly identical bag elsewhere. The ripstop is sturdied than it seems and the lightest you can get. The straps don't slip if you tie a knot or even a bow in the tail end.
The first time I stuffed it back in its bag, I folded it as much as I could and it wouldn't fit. I ended up stuffing it in rather than folding and it did go back in the bag.

There's no beating nylon ripstop, squeezes back into it's own bag, take it anywhere, that's the beauty of this backpack! Love the sale price!

I purchased this light little daypack for a trip to South America. I'm in Chile right now using the great daypack to carry my extra layers forPatagonia's changeable weather and find that it is very expandable and light weight--perfect!

As you might guess this daypack is flimsy at best. Straps are thin but adjustable. You wouldn't want to put objects with sharp edges in it as it would rip. It would be fine for a small camera and rain gear but use your bigger bag for heavy items.

Perfect for outings where you need to take a few too many items to carry. Throw in a book, some personal belongings, and head out and get some fresh air! Everyone should own at least one.

This is a good product in pinch. Throw it in your luggage or bag & you instantly have a small bag that can be used in a pinch. Folds up to a size of a small can of veggies in the self-enclosed pouch. Definitely recommend this.

Although I wanted something that was small for packing away, it was returned because I needed a slightly sturdier back pack. You do have more selections that will meet my needs.
