by WriterWithADayJob Finally - jeans that fit me
As waists grow wider with each generation (insert lecture about the evils of high fructose corn syrup here), jeans have adjusted and left people like me increasingly out of luck. Even when I was significantly overweight, my waist has always been smaller than my hips. No matter how tightly I cinch my belt, jeans droop and leave me with the unattractive "saggy crotch" look. These jeans fit like women's jeans used to fit! In fact, I don't even need a belt. Despite being casual clothing, these jeans are neat and tidy, with no sags or droops. They're well made, and I anticipate they'll last me for years. Even though two well-known competitors are headquartered within 50 miles of my home, these have become my new default brand and style. Now all I need is for you to come up with a "carpenter" version of these jeans with at least one pocket on the side of the leg for a phone -- then I'll be set for life!

I never have ordered Jeans from llbean before. I am 5'5'' and 124 slim build I wear a Misses size 12 I could not zip the zipper they were so small.I was so disappointed. The material seem good and the color was good. I did notice that when I opened the fade jean package, there was no size or plastic stripe on the size, like this was a return and someone had taken the tags off.The other pair had the tags on. I need a jean that the waist is a little higher than normal. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to walk into a store like we use to do buy the size you usually wore and walk out with a well fitting item. Oh those were the days. Sending these Jeans back.

Please, please, please bring back the classic fit in these jeans!!! I miss my favorite jeans!. The original fit is too tight and sits uncomfortably high on my waist.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Litohoro baggy all over except for tight waist
The fabric is very rough and wrinkles terribly. The size 18 waist is fractionally larger than the size 16 and the legs are very wide. I have a big stomach not fat legs. I'lll put this in the donation box as can't be bothered to mail it back.

Quality jean, but the the name "straight leg" is misleading. The leg bottom is so flared out that it makes the jean look odd, unless you are wearing cowboy boots. If you like bell bottoms, you will like these jeans.(Although the jeans do not "bell," they just flare out big time at the ankles).Garment is true to size.

I ordered these jeans because I wanted jeans without any stretch in them. The stretchy jeans tend to hug my hips and thighs too much and they can make me feel hot on warm days. I'm 5'4' and 172 lbs. so I ordered a size 14. They fit perfectly. The higher waist also eliminated the muffin top I always had with the stretchy jeans. I love these all cotton jeans and I just ordered another pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CLAWood Most Comfy Jeans Ever!
While I like to be stylish, I cannot STAND today's popular jeans that sit low on the body and are very tight through the thigh and around the knees. Not comfortable on my body type. These jeans allow for a bit more room in such areas (are not baggy), are of a quality weight, and very soft to the touch. Don't miss the spandex!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SophisticatedShopper Great jeans, PLEASE bring back the talls
Love these jeans. They are comfortable and durable. But, please, please bring them back in talls. I have about 6 pairs, but I would like to get more, and M/T is about 2 in too short for me. You were one of the few places that I could count on to provide tall lengths, and all of a sudden you do not. Please reconsider. Being tall is not always fun, but you can make our lives somewhat easier.

Thank you LL Bean for making it easy to find perfectly fitting 100% cotton non-stretch jeans just like jeans used to be! I'm in my 20s, and I have gotten so fed up with how quickly jeans containing lycra and/or spandex wear out. I had one pair of Levis that lasted from high school to 5 years past college, but they don't make them with quality fabrics anymore. Newer pairs are thin and wear through in less than a year. I'm actually placing another order for these jeans to have on hand when this pair is in the wash. 100% satisfied. Other brands are charging $150+ for 100% cotton designer jeans. They can't beat the value of LL Bean.
