I received a navy pair as a gift and was happy when I first tried them on out of the bag. They are classy looking and well made. The flannel is not really heavy, but feels nice. If you're looking for thick flannel, this is not it. I got an XL - the top was plenty roomy, and while the bottoms were really too big, there is a drawstring that takes care of that. I washed them once in cold water, and partially dried on low, hanging up to finish drying. Wow, did these shrink. Bottoms fine as they were big before, but the top is really too small now, with pulling and puckering at each button. If I were completely flat chested it would likely fit fine. But they don't make it any larger, so I will likely either return or just use the bottoms.

Great weight, not too heavy, not too light. Good fit in regular size. Do not recommend sizing up.
Pima flannel is a good value, wash after wash, without noticable shrinkage, retaining color.
Just wish the sleeve openings at the wrist were more generous. Can barely push up to mid forearm, certainly not to elbow.

Bought two pairs of these pj's in medium. Very comfortable. However, the sleeves are a tad too short.

Rated 1 out of 5 by hebnzx Are these really 100% cotton?
I have trouble believing these are 100% cotton -- especially long staple pima cotton. Maybe they're a blend of cotton and polyester, or cotton and nylon, but they feel like they're either synthetic or a wool blend. The fabric actually stretches in a very uncottonlike way and has a springiness to it that I've only noticed in synthetics. I bought the dark blue color and they are so scratchy I wonder if the people with positive reviews were sent a different product. They're going to have to be sent back. There's no way I'm wearing these scratchy things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nanabean Best PJs
These PJs are cut a little roomier than some of the others LL Bean offers, still a little more snug in the shoulders than the ones I purchased in previous years but still comfy. They wash up great and last for a very long time.

I gave each of my daughter-in-laws and granddaughter a set of these pajamas for Christmas two years ago. They have raved about them since. They are still using them and tell me that these pajamas are their favorites. The pj's are well made, warm, and durable. Because I have a Bean Visa card, I get free monogramming! The monogramming adds an extra special touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ottimista Soft, warm, cozy, nicely made, great fitting pjs
I first bought LLBean's pima flannel pjs a year ago, towards the end of January. They are so soft and warm, and very well made. Fit is great -- I'm petite, and it is not that easy to find good pjs in a petite size. They quickly became my most favorite pjs. This year, I am buying a couple other colors so I'm not disappointed when they are sold out!

These pajamas are exceptionally comfortable and stylish. I ordered the navy with a monogrammed first initial. The quality is fantastic. Two thumbs up.

I bought the blue pima flannel pjs with the white piping, and they are super soft and comfy-- and they look sharp!
The other reviewers are correct- the top fits a bit tighter than the bottoms. Mine weren't tight enough to return for a larger size (not sure how I'd go up a size in the top but not the bottom), but it is noticably snug. If it was something I'd be wearing in public, I would return.
I have an entire drawer full of LL Bean PJs. I buy a new pair almost every fall. They are expensive, but good quality!

Rated 3 out of 5 by DianaInFlorence Sizing issues....
Once upon a time, LL Bean sold the softest most wonderful women's flannel pajamas in the world.
These are not those extraordinary pj's.
But they are probably better than those many stores carry for a similar price.
However, I had sizing issues. The L (my usual size) was too tight across the chest. And the XL was far too long in both legs and arms as well as too large in the waist.
If you're a B cup or less, I wouldn't worry about this. If you're a D+, it may be a problem for you.
