Rated 3 out of 5 by happytraveler3 Decent jacket, but not my favorite
I ended up returning this fleece-lined jacket and instead keeping the regular (non-fleece-lined) trail model rainjacket. The fleece lining felt nice and would be a good jacket for days that are rainy AND cold, but in the end I preferred the regular one since I can always layer my own fleece under it when it's chilly, and then wear it by itself when it's warmer.
As for the sleeve issue that others have commented on: I agree the jacket could be made a lot better. I didn't have any problems putting it on when wearing a thin (close-fitting) long-sleeve shirt or light sweater, but anything heavier than that was problematic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momknowsbest Love the inside fleece lining...
I love this jacket especially the fleece lining inside - the sleeves, the inside body, and even the hood are lined. Other reviewers had an issue with the sleeves being lined, I guess if you were wearing long sleeve shirt it might be a problem.
I planned on wearing this jacket with short sleeve shirts during the spring, summer, and fall.
It is well made and very roomy...

Rated 3 out of 5 by Moved2Samm well made, very hard to put on with fleece sleeves
I wanted a lined raincoat for times when it's a bit colder. I do like this coat, it's well made and will last a long time. The reason for the 3-star rating is that it's hard to put on. It's difficult to put your arms through the sleeves if you're wearing a sleeved shirt or sweater. The fleece lining fights back and you have to pull really hard to get the sleeves on. They won't lie flat without a lot of tugging and adjusting. I wish the sleeves were lined with something else. I almost returned it because of this but decided to keep it. I won't be wearing it with a sweater but a light shirt which means I'll have to bring a sweater with me if I want to take it off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ASinDayton Not as advertised
Description said it was rated to 10 degrees. Not even close. Too thin. Not fleece-lined as advertised. Sent it back, but the free shipping cost me 8.95

The lining in the sleeves is fleece and you can't get your arms in or out. Sleeves should be lined with a smooth lining. Please change the jacket. Everyone wants a rain resistant fleece lined jacket but the sleeves can't be lined.

I spent a lot, and I mean a lot, of time looking for a jacket that was more than a shell jacket and less than a heavy winter coat. I was very happy when I read about this jacket....especially the lining. Unfortunately the sleeves are also lined with the same material and you cannot put your arm into the jacket without the sleeves of whatever you are wearing bunching up as you try and put on the coat. Not a good experience and I am sadly disappointed.
I am very disappointed.

Having ordered two trail model rain jackets in the past (which I wore over a fleece jacket), I was pleased to see LLBean had developed a fleece-lined version, thinking the fleece would eliminate the need for a second layer. I ordered the new model, expecting it to be the same length and having a two-way zipper like the previous styles. I was disappointed when it arrived to find it was about four inches shorter and had a one-way zipper. I did wear it on a birding field trip to give it a chance and realized I needed the length to cover my hips for warmth. I hope LLBean will bring back the original Trail Model with fleece lining; then it will be perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sevarge Not as described, product issues
This product is described as suitable for -10F. It's impossible. This is a lightweight jacket with a lightweight liner. It's good for rain protection only. Also, the lining fabric is soft and fleece like, making it very difficult to pull the jacket on if you're wearing a sweater or similarly soft fabric. In fact, the liner pulls through the end of the jacket near the wrist and you have to adjust it by pulling it back in the jacket. I tried to like this jacket but in fact I didn't. I sent it back after fussing with it just trying to pull it on. The goofy lining and th the fact the jacket wouldn't be warm enough for me were deal breakers.

I received this jacket for Christmas and was very excited to wear it for the first time. I work outdoors and wanted one coat to protect me from all the elements at once without having to change throughout the day. The first time I wore this it was 20 degrees out. I had a base layer and a fleece hoodie underneath and I was absolutely freezing. It did not keep me warm at all and I am on my feet moving around all day not standing still. I can't even imagine wearing it in -10 degrees as it states in the description. Sadly returning this item.

I will start off by saying that I love LLBean, (my husband loves his Wicked Good Slippers!) but when I received this jacket, I was immediately disappointed. I could NOT get my arm through it, even when i had short sleeves underneath?I've encountered jackets like this while trying them on in other stores, but I always assumed it was a manufacturing error. I made the mistake of not reading the other 100+ reviews that all state the same thing, so I had a feeling that the sleeves were going to be an issue. Not sure why nothing has been done to address this problem!!! Now I have to spend $6.50 to send it back? :(
