Rated 5 out of 5 by tmblr LOVE it.
I absolutely love this jacket. Have used in -6F and with just a tshirt underneath and was totally fine. I am 5'4/130lbs and the Misses XS is a perfect fit-- I can still put a couple of thinner layers underneath. The hood is perfect and the drawstrings keep it on well, the hand warmer pockets are effective.
I used it last year in the San Francisco bay area in winter without overheating, as well as snowstorms in Wisconsin :)
The only downside is that for travel, this jacket obviously doesn't pack down small-- I just carry it on the plane and hold it in my lap.
I definitely recommend this jacket to friends!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Weaves Zipper Nightmare
This coat is warm and comfy and weatherproof and I would adore it if it were not for the zipper. I struggle to zip it every time I put it on, and it seems as if it is broken, but it isn't. It's just a difficult zipper. And by difficult I mean frustrating and maddening.
Tonight I even had my hubby try to zip it for me and we both gave up and I wore the coat open, even though it was cold out.
I am NOT pleased

Rated 2 out of 5 by BrooklynWriter Not Very Warm and the Zipper is a Disaster
I wish I had noticed the many reviews mentioning the faulty zipper. I like the styling (especially the drawstring waist). However, I am forced to return the coat due to the ridiculously difficult to line-up double zipper. Also, the coat is certainly not warm enough to rate a "Warmest." I was wearing a cami, a shirt, and a sweater under the coat and was still cold at 40 degrees.

Rated 1 out of 5 by WiscWinter Very Tight Sleeves
I've been searching for a longer winter jacket for a couple of months, and had high hopes for the LL Bean brand. I have a coat from them I bought about 12 years ago, and it's roomy, easy to move in, and still looks almost as good as the day I bought it. I'm looking for a warm commuter coat to drive, walk, and shovel with. This is the second coat I've tried from LL Bean this past month, and both have tight sleeves. This one is especially tight. I'm 5'2" 135 pounds, bought size medium. It seems to fit everywhere nicely with room to layer, but I can't lift my arms over my head. PLEASE, someone make a coat with gussets or wider arm holes so it's possible to shovel snow and drive comfortably. I don't want to walk around like that lady in Seinfeld who walked without moving her arms. Okay, the coat isn't that bad, but literally, I can't lift both elbows up to a height of my shoulders; just one arm at a time can be lifted. I'm ample in the chest, but this coat still has room in the chest. It's the arm construction that totally ruins this coat. Driving in comfort? Forget it unless you want to keep both hands at the bottom of the wheel the whole time. The poor design of the coats I've tried with LL Bean have me really rethinking the quality of the brand. It's not what it used to be. I wonder if the men have this problem, or if it's only women who coat designers don't expect to want to have freedom of movement?

Rated 2 out of 5 by PaddleGirl1 not the warmest
I am very disappointed that this coat was given the "Warmest" rating by LL Bean. It's incredibly misleading as it is not that warm. To earn a "warmest" rating from me, I'd have to wear a winter coat under it for proper warmth. It would be nice as a fall coat and I should have guessed from the price that it wouldn't be very warm, but I don't know that I can justify the cost to keep it when I'd use it for such a short amount of the cold weather season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beanie987654321 Good Quality
I like this coat though I am going to return it for the regular size. I got a L Petite. The sleeves and length are good, but I prefer the sleeves a little longer. I had difficulty zipping up the coat because of the double zipper, but seem to have gotten used to it. I still have to look at the zipper to make sure its aligned before I can zip it up. Overall, a nice warm coat and great quality. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the zipper and being challenging to zip...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shinnabrin great jacket BUT
This jacket it just what I wanted! It is well-made, long, warm and a nice shade of blue BUT the zipper is terrible! I wish that next year you would make it with a slngle zipper that connects easier. The difficulty in connecting it far outweighs any convenience of the two-way zipper.
I wear size 12 or 14 and had to get the extra large because the large was snug across the arms and chest.

Rated 5 out of 5 Nice coat
I like this coat for everyday wear. I am fairly petite and the XS fit just right. It's not too heavy but feels comfy and allows easy movement. It seems slightly less warm than I was hoping, but it should accommodate layering just fine. My only complaint is that the zipper is opposite of all my other coats, so I'm not coordinated trying to get it zipped. I guess I'll just have to learn a new skill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LizInSanDiego Exceeded Expectations
Living in San Diego, the warmest thing I own is a long sleeved t-shirt. I needed a warm jacket for a recent trip to Canada where temperatures were expected to be between 20F-40F degrees. I knew I wanted a hooded parka length jacket that would be light-weight for traveling yet keep me warm enough. I liked the clean look of this jacket and it sounded like just what I needed. As soon as it arrived and tried it on, I KNEW that it was just what I was hoping for. I've now returned from my trip and could not have been happier with this jacket. It was exactly what I wanted - lightweight yet very warm. The hood cinched up nicely to ward off the chilly winds. We had some snow, rain, and cold and I was perfectly comfortable the whole time. Upon return, it laundered beautifully. Although I would have preferred a nice navy color, I got the wine color and absolutely love it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by lulabelle420 troublesome zipper which is frustrating me
I ordered this on-line to replace my Ultra-warm 3/4 length coat which has lasted me for years, except now the zipper is failing and I'm getting stuck inside the coat!. I thought this one would fill the bill but the medium (size 10-12 per the sizing recommendation-I wear a 10# is too small to work over a bulky sweater or suit jacket. Plus, the zipper on this one is giving me the same problem and is too difficult to get "just right" in order to zip it up.
The color is beautiful #plum) and I would love to keep it in a larger size, but can't deal with the zipper so I have to return it. Too bad. It's really pretty.
