Gave these slippers to my wife as a gift - and she loved them! But, then the glue that held the bottom insert failed. I'd Shoo-go them, which would last for about a month, then that would fail. The slippers kept her feet warm - but it was annoying to have to glue/reglue the sole every month or so. My next step is to visit the local cobbler to see if he has a glue that will work. I'm not sure if anyone else had this problem. I would not buy these again due to this issue.

These scuffs are every bit as cute as they look! Perfect for winter wear, although I would imagine wet snow might make them run onto your socks. I like my shoes a bit big, since I suffer from peripheral neuropathy. These are very comfy and stay on well! I just ordered another pair for my daughter-in-law.

These slippers were a birthday gift last year. They're amazing I've had them for over a year and believe me nothing compares to these slippers. I've warn them with sweats out of the house with jeans everywhere. These are impeccable I'm going to buy these for my family members for Christmas. If you live in a cold climate buy these slippers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rain30 Very nice..but a tad large
These are very nice looking. I ordered a size up, from my 7.5 normal size. They fit well across the toes but they do feel a bit wide. The length is SLIGHTLY too long as well. I will mostly wear these with socks, so the larger width and length may not matter. I will keep them. I do wish they came in a blue shade. I thought they did at one time?

I wear an 8.5 B so ordered up as usual. Monstrous!--like a man's
shoe size. Ordered an 8--length okay but had to scruch up my toes to keep them on--way too wide. Would accomodate a wool sock, but then the length would be too tight. Gave up!!

Cute looking but medium width is twice as open as it needs to be
falling out of slipper more like extra wide

I was so happy to find these (the dark red ones with the cat), as I have recently adopted a cat. Sad to say, I "ordered up" as per the sizing instructions. I wear a 7.5 walking shoe, occasionally an 8. So I ordered an 8, and my feet swim in them. My wide toes were okay, but the overall length, and how wide they are compared to my narrow heel, made them a dangerous fit for me. I am afraid the 7 would be too narrow, so I am out of luck with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pcsqueen Great Slippers, But They Run A Bit Small
I'm writing this review in July 2015. I purchased the slippers in October 2014, but decided to subject them to a few months of wear before I made any comments.
I was a little hesitant to purchase slippers that are non-washable. I don't wear shoes in the house, so, on a daily basis, my (sole pair of) slippers are subjected to all kinds of abuse, from spills while cooking to splashes while cleaning. Although I usually wear socks with them, I was also concerned about the slippers getting stinky without frequent trips to the washing machine.
Note: To minimize the possibility of stains, I purchased them in black.
The scuffs have well exceeded my expectations for comfort, warmth, and durability. Of course, they're black so hide dirt, but the ecru embroidery around the opening looks perfect. The soles are in great shape, showing minimal wear despite the occasional trip outside on a gravel/concrete driveway. Best, they're quite warm. That's important because, in winter, our house is cold -- mid-50's when it gets particularly frigid outside. We have tile floors which, in February, can start to feel like blocks of ice. Combined with a pair of fleece socks, wearing the scuffs keep my feet quite comfortable, even though they don't completely cover my heel. Likewise, even spending hours standing on the tile floors in the scuffs, my feet don't hurt - something less well-made slippers can't claim.
So far, after daily wear from October thru May, and occasional wear in June and July (too warm), the scuffs emit no odor. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll stay that way, but if they do get smelly I will consider hand washing them in mild detergent and cold water. Better to shrink than stink!
My only criticism concerns their sizing; they seem to run small. I'm a US women's size 10, but had to send my original pair back and re-order a size 11. Of course, as previously mentioned, I typically wear them with socks; I don't know if the scuffs were intended to be worn that way or alone.
Hopefully, Bean will keep these in their lineup. They're a great product!

Will return these slippers. After wearing them in the house for several hours it was clear that the foam padding was not of good quality-could feel the rubber sole through the padding...if like this when new, I felt that the material would not last. How I wish LLBean would bring back the durable, comfortable, iconic "Java Slide" slippers....wore those for many years; was the best slippers ever.

When I first received the scuffs it felt like I was wearing gun boats, but I had always wanted a pair that slipped on like these do. I have narrow feet and was a little worried if they would fit. Because LL Bean has such a good return policy, I decided to wear them a while and hope for the best. Well after a few hours they seemed to start to mold to the shape of my foot and they became easier to walk in. Now, I have had them for a few days and I love these scuffs!!! They are cozy and warm and easy to slip into. While the opening is slightly larger than my narrow foot, they don't fall off, but rather seem to cling comfortably to my feet. So, I am very pleased with my purchase. I ordered the gray color and like the way they look.
