Rated 5 out of 5 by SunbeltGirl Henley's are perfect!
I bought this shirt for my husband, brother and dad.
They all love the L.L. Bean Henley's. In fact, they did not stop with this one. They all got additional colors.
The Henley's are great because you can dress them up or dress them down with a pair of jeans and sneakers.
I bought one for my mom, my daughter and myself as well in the ladies Henley shirts.

My husband loves this shirt! I gave it to him as a Christmas present last year. It quickly became one of his favorite shirts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by IM01 disappointing - wash it once, watch it shrivel
L.L. Bean offers a disclaimer in the post that the shirt will shrink in the wash. That line doesn't come close to describing how much washing the shirt impacts its size. I followed instructions and washed in cold, and it was more than a full size smaller afterwards. Color faded as well. Pick another long sleeve henley.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RVNdraftee Great shirt
I purchased three of these shirts about 25 years ago, and I'm still enjoying them. They are very warm in winter, and very soft and comfortable. Of course, you have to be careful how you wash them and NEVER put them in the dryer. Let them air dry. Other than that, they are wonderful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DMReda Nice shirt, big cuffs
I got this shirt last week, and it shrunk as expected after 1 wash. I'm usually a LG size in shirts, but the XL was the right choice.
Overall, a very nice shirt with high quality construction. I expect to wear it for many years.
I would note that the cuffs at the end of the sleeves are larger than I'm used to. Also, even after shrinking, it's a bit long below the waist. I've been tucking it in a bit more than typical when I go out (around the house it's fine).

Rated 1 out of 5 by dcmetroarea immediate return
I tend to buy all LLBean products online as getting to Tyson's is difficult due to traffic and mall crowds. The T looks good online and in packaging when received in the mail. Washed and dried and noticed that it had shrunk. When putting it on it cling'd to the body and the material bunched up. I wasn't expecting a pool quality product, but I sucked it up and made the trip up to Tyson's and returned them the next day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ssmith362 Same materials Different wash instructions.
I have two of these shirts. Bought one two years ago and another one this year. Both are made of identical material but different drying instructions. The older wash and dry on low. The new one wash and dry flat. Don't get it but I am following instructions. Love the sleeves on the newer one, the cuffs are snug and the sleeves stay up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TaylorG Nice, but shrinks
As other reviewers have noted, these will shrink. I confess that I made this worse by drying them in the dryer, but I have four of these and I got tired of draping them on the furniture to dry them.
They shrank enough that I can't wear them over long sleeve t-shirts as I intended, because the material bunches up oddly producing a sloppy look.
However, these now cling rather flatteringly when I wear them alone, producing a more athletic look. This wouldn't work to your advantage if you're overweight.
The only real negative is that the collar tends to bacon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bean1960 awesome shirt
I bought two; red in tall xl and later last winter a blue heather in xl.
they are warm and resilient. Yes, you cannot really dry this correctly in your dryer. But I hate my dryer and use only when there is no sun out. I dont even dry flat, but hang it by four clothes pins at the neck and arm seams, then drape the arms over the line.
the tall is extra snugly and allows me to easily pull the cuffs over my hands when walking or reading inside.

Rated 2 out of 5 by purexplorer Wanky fit after two washings
Out of the package this shirt fit well but after two washings it had shrank significantly creating a wanky cut that was short and narrow at the waist and awkwardly broad in the shoulders resulting in a splayed collar and an uncomfortable fit. LL Bean usually gets it right but this one missed the mark.
