Our 3.5 year old has been putting a pair of these through the ringer for the past year. it was an easy decision to order the next size up as he outgrows the 3Ts. They're made well, are comfortable as far as I can tell (no complaints) and are holding up to heavy use and frequent washings.

I ordered the pink plaid ones for my daughter and they just arrived today. We are a BIG LL Bean family, so we have many flannel products from them. So, I am confused about what they call "warm flannel lining" in these pants. The lining does not feel soft or warm at all, more like a lightweight cotton plaid shirt material. Not at all what I expected when I think about LL Bean flannel. But, I'll keep them and try them out. Maybe the lining will soften up after a wash or two. Or, I'll just layer with tights underneath on the cold days.

These look so cute and cozy online, and I'll admit even when they arrived, I was hopeful as the lining is soft and the elastic waist looks comfy. However, for an average 2T girl these all wrong. The crotch of the pant is either too low or the waist is too high. On my average sized daughter (2-year-old last week), they essentially fall off as she walks. She's a 2T in other llbean pants including the lovely bootcut knit pants. Not sure why these are so different, but they sure are wrong. I'd like to return them but from Canada, shipping charges apply to returns.

I bought these in a size 2 for my 20-month-old, so they're a little big on her. But that's on me, nothing against the pants. They are soft inside (nice pink plaid flannel lining), and cut out the need to layer leg warmers on top of leggings on top of tights. Whenever we went to the playground or anywhere outside this winter, I tried to put her in these and was bummed if they happened to be in the laundry. They only knock I have is that they are a little on the unstylish side, they seemed bulky and wide legged and only came in very dark blue. But in 15 degrees, style is not my priority, and my daughter certainly doesn't care. I'm sure it wouldn't be cost effective for LL Bean to come up with multiple styles of little girls' pants, but if they decide to anyway I'd get another pair in white, pink, or lighter blue. Little embroidery wouldn't hurt either! But for warmth? These are the best pants we own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeadCrazy Great winter pants
Bought these pants for my grandson that lives on CT. He is four years old and they do fit him and keep him warm but the waist is a little big. Nothing a belt can't fix. He does have a slender build. A great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mygreenlefteye Mini, sturdy, warm
My husband wears these jeans in a MUCH larger size to go camping and riding quads in the winter. We want to take our granddaughter with us this year and were thrilled when we saw these online. These jeans keep the chill out but are not as bulky as a lot of warm gear. Unless you grab the material with your hands, you can't even tell that they are lined with soft and cozy flannel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by turtlegarden great product!
I had a pair of these for my son and now I bought a pair for my daughter. It's a great way to keep them warm when an entire snowsuit is overkill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MrsDan They still look good as new!
I bought a pair of these in 3T for my son at the resale shop. Since they are from a resale shop, I can only guess that at least one child has worn them as my son has, namely 1-2 times a week for several months. In spite of this heavy use (and my son is all boy!) they still are the best looking pair of jeans in his closet. There is no adjustment in the waist, the elastic is excellent quality and has fit my son from newly 3T to growing out of 3T with no issues. He is a stocky little guy but not overweight if that helps.
I plan to buy these in 4T when he grows out of 3T. Thanks LLBean!
