warm and cozy. Please consider making these for women in solid colors. The plaids are just "too big" for alot of women who prefer a more slimming look instead. (but still like to be warm) Actually I think alot of men would prefer a solid look too and would order additional shirts, since the solid would look like a completely different shirt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jasmax I love this shirt but......
I received this for Christmas. I fell in love with it when I saw it in the catalog. I ask for a x-large cause I wanted to wear it like a light weight jacket and just around the house. It fits just the way I wanted it to.....I love the color, too. I even used a gift card and bought another in a different color.
However....after wearing it 3-4 times I discovered that the fleece lining seems to have stretched out and is close to hanging below the hem in the back.
I washed it according to instructions hoping that would help but it looks like it did before washing. Very disappointed.
I called and was told there HAD been a problem but she thought it had been taken care of. She was very helpful and is sending me a return label. But the color is discontinued so I haven't decided what to do about it. Take it to a tailor and get it fixed or return it.
I'm also a little worried about the other one I bought. I haven't worn it yet.....it's hanging in my closet. But I looked at it and it seems the fleece is a little loose on it too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BeansRegular Super Disappointment
I need to say that I am official LLBean Addict. I have many clothing items from Beans, and usually like most of them. This shirt is a total disappointment to me.
First, if you have never tried the previous model and never tried the men's fleece lined flannel, then you may feel that this shirt is OK and a bit warm. I have been spoiled because for the past 2 years, I have purchased several of the men's fleece lined flannel shirts in size XS, which fit me very well. (The smallest size is S now for the men's, but I would like to see the XS come back) That was and still is the warmest and softest shirt ever made. The men's version has a thick flannel, same as found in the Scotch plaid flannel or the Freeport flannel shirts. Plus they are lined with a thicker and more plush fleece than this shirt is. The combination is incredible for warmth and softness.
In this women's shirt, the outer fabric is simply not flannel, It is a very thin, slightly brushed cotton fabric, which provides no warmth factor. The thin fleece lining also provides little insulation and very little warmth. I purchased three of them over the past few weeks and I will be returning them all. For the same price as the men's luscious fleece lined flannel, these shirts are a very poor value.
I recommend that you try one of the men's fleece lined flannel shirts, if you really want warmth and quality fabric--but hurry, because those are selling like hotcakes ( or should I say hotshirts).

Rated 3 out of 5 by snugglyduckling Too boxy, but I love everything else about it.
To help other ladies choose their size: I am 5'4", 125 lb, 32D, and I found the Misses Small a good fit. The Petite Small has sleeves that ended before my wrist watch. They were so, so short!
However, the Misses Small is so boxy! LL Bean, please tailor this to be more slim! I could stuff a standard tissue box between my belly and the shirt.
My husband says it looks alright "to wear around the house or to bed". It's just so comfy and warm, I'm going to keep it. But if it were cut better, I'd buy the rest of the colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TB00 Love this shirt
I love this shirt. I wear it often in the winter because it is warm and soft. Because the sleeves are too long for me, I generally have the sleeves rolled up. The only thing that could make this shirt better are buttons on the slits below the cuffs to help keep the cuffs rolled up. I ended up adding buttons and now the shirt is perfect!

Rated 2 out of 5 by waterw Great - but it SHRINKS!!!
This is a super shirt. It is very comfortable but it shrinks a lot the first time it is washed. My sleeves are an inch & 1/2 too short after the first wash - and that was drying on the delicate setting! Buy a size larger if you decide to purchase this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BUTLER The Fleeced-Lined Flannel Shirt is AWESOME!
If I had to rate this shirt between 1 thru 10 (10 being the best) I'd give it an 11.
Not only is this shirt beautifully made but most importantly it's comfy & cozy, and warm & stylish to boot. I love the purple toned colored shirt and am bitterly disappointed that I couldn't order more of them since they've been sold out. Come on guys get your buyers to triple the orders if not quadruple the orders next season because trust me they will sell. Oh if only LL Bean could purchase more of them now so that we could have them for the rest of the winter & use them during the chilly spring months when outdoor weather makes you want this fleece-lined shirt badly.
I purchased a 3x and though large it is not extremely so and is able to let me wear multiple layers of clothing to be extra warm during New England's very cold winter months.
I launder it in a cold gentle cycle & air dry it, and it comes out beautifully without any wrinkles and still soft & snuggy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NYGiantsFan10 Like a soft kitten - but not allergy inducing
I don't even care that the colors of the two fleece lined flannel shirts I own are incredibly bland and not what I normally would have chosen (my 5 other choices were sold out). This shirt is SO FLIPPIN' COMFORTABLE! I wear mine every evening in lieu of a sweater, and I also wear it to the gym in lieu of a jacket. I look like a lumberjack and I don't care. My 6 year old told me the shirt scares her, but I DON'T CARE.
I understand why this shirt sells out so quickly. My fleece lined shirt fairy may have visited me recently, so (fingers crossed!) I might be getting one of the colors I'd prefer. Either way, I would highly recommend this shirt - though I use it more as a light jacket. It's the perfect weight. Note of warning - be careful when you wash it. I'd recommend line drying. It shrinks a tiny bit, so to be safe, you may want to order a size larger than you'd normally wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CTGardenGirl warm enough...
I purchased the teal colored one at the store to replace my old hoodies. I like not having a hood. XL fits well, I usually take a 1X. I layer this over a short sleeved t-shirt, and going through meno, I put this on and off several times each day. :0)
I really like it. It's not too heavy, but just right for me for indoor wear to take off the chill. The sleeves come 1/2 way down my hand, actually down to the knuckles on my fingers, and I'm 5'9". It's long enough, which is hard to find at my height and taller. I have not washed it yet. I'm afraid too, for fear of shrinkage, but when I do, I will do it with cold water and likely hang dry it just in case.
One thing I would change, like others have commented, is the arm holes could be a tad bigger. I sometimes have to 'tuck' my shirt sleeves in to lay flat in the sleeve.
Yes, the flannel is not fuzzy like typical flannel, but it is soft. The fleece is thin, but the 2 layers together are just right for what I'm looking for. I would buy another, but I see they are sold out. Story of my life, LL Bean, when I find something I like and go back to buy another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RVSRider11 Great flannel
I finally bought one of these flannels a few weeks ago after admiring my boyfriend's forever, and I absolutely love it! It is very warm and soft, works great as a middle layer. I have the capri blue color, which is definitely brighter than I expected from the image online, but a nice color regardless. Hopefully it will fade a little in time. The fleece lining is very soft, and has remained so after a few runs through the wash. The fit it a bit roomier than I expected, but I don't mind it. Overall, an exceptionally warm, comfortable flannel.
