Good fit and comfortable pants. Friday is casual dress Friday at work. I love wearing these pants in the morning and turning them into shorts for the trip home on a hot summer afternoon (my commute is 90 minutes by commuter train). Much more comfortable than jeans on the weekend and I never thought I would ever say that.

When I stumbled across these while browsing the Bean site, I'd never heard of "zip-off" pants. But they sounded interesting, so I took a shot. Lucky me!
I ordered the Stone color and was pleasantly rewarded when I tried them on the first time: A perfect fit! And the zip-off feature works great, too. Very convenient. These will be great for our annual family get-together on a lake in Northern Michigan. Perfect for those evenings around the bonfire. Warm or cool, I'm all set. Or just what I need on a cool morning that I know will turn into a scorcher later in the day. Instant shorts!

Pants are awesome and comfortable! they are nice and light but sturdy! i have many pairs ans highly recomend them. i use them for work, i like all the pocket options!

My husband lost his left leg in 2009. There are no stores that offer clothing for amputees. When I saw these on line, I thought how perfect these would be for him. I have inquired to L.L. Bean about offering jeans with the zip-off legs, but that has not happened. I have bought him a pair in every color and they work perfect.

I got a pair of these Tropic Weight Cargo Pants, Zip Off for my husband and he loves, loves, loves that fact that he can wear them on the plane and upon arrival in Hawaii, instantly zip off the bottom part. Same goes for returning home to the Bay Area. He can leave in his shorts and zip on the legs. Looks great and fits well. Thanks LL Bean.

Bought for my hubby and he likes them a lot. They fit great (true to size) and very comfortable, fabric is soft and breasable, amazing quality of stitching and zippers. For a sale price its a steal!

I bought these pants for shore excursions during cruises. I'm 5' 10" , 160 #. The 36/32s fit me perfectly. Perfect pants for shore excursion using the full leg on cooler/cold mornings, then zip off the lower part for warmer/hotter afternoons. And they are a nice enough looking pair of slacks you can wear them to just about any function you would want to.

It's nice to be able to get pants of my size and reasonably priced too. However my first pair had to be returned because of 'differential pigmentation' noted after the required cold wash. Dye had been washed out of large areas causing a very obvious mottling. This could only be seen in sunlight!! Indoors away from the window this could not be seen.

It is so hard to get my husband to even try something new, so when he finally tried these on then immediately wore them on two cross-country flights I knew you had a winner! The options in waist and length are perfect; can't tell you how many pairs of zip-offs I bought him that were too long or too tight somewhere trying to replace the original cotton version you carried many years ago. This cotton fabric seems durable yet breathable, more comfortable than the nylon fabric often found in this style. Now thinking of trying the cargo pant (non-zip-off) version when I order the next pair! Thank you LL Bean.
