Rated 4 out of 5áby NellsD Lightweight! Comfy!
I decided to try these shoes out for warm weather wearing. I am old fashion, and my feet tend to hate no matter WHAT is on my feet, but I had a gift card so order them I did.
They are lightweight, which I find nice when it is boiling hot outside. They also breathe a lot, which is ALSO nice in hot weather. I am surprised how comfy they are even with such a thin sole. So far, they seem to resist dirt and staining rather well.
Only major problem so far: when you wear them with socks, and you walk through the rain/puddle/wet grass, your socks WILL get wet and possibly dirty. BUT, they are not intended for keeping feet dry, as such, so that may not be an issue for most people. Just don't do spring gardening in them!!
I actually picked up a second pair of these! :-)

Rated 4 out of 5áby bikermon Buy the 2014 shoe if you can!
I bought these shoes last year and I love them so much, I bought two more pair on sale. However, I note that they've updated the shoes for this year in one unfortunate way - last year, they had drawcords instead of laces, which is what made these my go-to shoes for EVERYTHING until the snow fell. But this year, they've replaced the drawcords with laces. So go get last year's version, if you still can . . . they're selling like hotcakes. And LL, what were you thinking? You should put drawcords on everything (like lightweight hikers), not the other way around. :(

I bought a pair of these 2 years ago to use as water shoes when kayaking. I liked the looks and comfort of them so much that I only used them for casual tennis type shoes. I bought another pair last month so I'd have another pair to use to as water shoes. I hope I'll actually do that with them. They are feather light and fit my foot perfectly. Comfortable and look good. Love these shoes! 5'2", size 7 True to size. I wear them without socks, or with thin socks. Wear mostly in the warmer months.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Boooklover They run very narrow
I just got my order. After reading the reviews I went with a wide even though I usually never wear a wide. Luckily I did because they fit perfectly now.

Rated 2 out of 5áby botany Not as good as earlier ones
I purchased a pair of the same type sneakers (stock #0 DPL2 VN#:05330 Made in China 091802) about 2 years ago and expected the same quality and comfort.....not so. In this pair the heel has much less cushioning, in fact the entire shoe appears to be much more poorly and cheaply made - all especially unsatisfactory. I am very disappointed in this edition of a formerly splendid shoe and do expect much better quality from LLBean. I long for the quality of years gone by.

Rated 3 out of 5áby AnneintheGarden Women's Vacationland Sport Sneakers-WIDE
I ordered the Women's Vacationland Sport Sneaker in 8.5 Wide to do a little walking.
These shoes were NOT wide at all.
There is NO arch support.
There is NO cushioning in the footbed.
I tried to wear them with socks but there was no room for socks!
After adding a 'pillow' insert, I went grocery shopping, and within an hour had blisters on my small toes.
I will return these on Monday.
Too bad because they are cute. I think if you did not need a wide shoe they would be OK, just not a great shoe.

Rated 2 out of 5áby Workoutgirl Disappointing-- not a water shoe
I've been looking for shoes to replace the water / sport shoes I purchased here a few years ago. I used them in the pool for water aerobics and purchased additional pairs to wear on land because they were so comfortable. These shoes do not measure up. They are almost Ż inch narrower through the ball of the foot. Too tight for me. These shoes will be returned. The sole does not have any drainage ports so I wouldn't recommend them for use in water. The previous shoes were perfect-- great fit for active lifestyle, drainage in the sole, good support. Don't change a good thing.

Rated 1 out of 5áby cashmeremom Why did Bean change a great sneaker??
Don?t buy these sneakers if you had a pair you really liked from 2-3 years ago and want a new pair. Those were great sneakers and I wore them threadbare. This ?new? but not improved version is NOT the SAME shoe. You cannot tell from the image online or the description.
1. These are not at all Wide. My original pair were Wide, but these new sneakers are far from wide. I ordered 8-1/2 wide , like all the shoes I buy from Bean, but these are Narrow, not even a B, more like AA. I compared the old pair side by side with this new version. The entire shoe is narrower, even the sole is vastly more narrow.
2. The toe is not rounded, but tapered .
3. The sole is definitely not the same. This new sole is not deeply grooved like the original, It?s more like a ?city? shoe. Don?t buy these to take on vacation, hiking or just walking on rocky or uneven paths. You could even slip on a rainy sidewalk. There are hardly any grooves
4. The open loop behind the ankle is gone, a minor detail but I liked it a lot. These are not the Vacationland sneakers I really liked so much, and sadly LL Bean has nothing at all to replace the worn out pair. If you need a Wide, definitely choose a different shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Lightweight Lightweight
These shoes are lightweight and true to size. I would have given them a higher rating if they had more cushion on the inside around the heal and ankle. I was looking for a pair of shoes similar to a pair I bought a couple of years back that were more comfortable and better made. I don't find these as comfortable to wear all day.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Go2Gram Just perfect for me !
I love these shoes! They are light. Orthotics fit easily. Easy to put on and take off. The stretch laces and loop at the heel make them easier for me to put on than any others,
The design with lots of mesh should keep the foot cool and dry quickly if you venture into a wet area!
