Rated 5 out of 5 by truther Perfect weight for all seasons!
I actually have two of these sweaters and love them, and I also have the cardigan in this combination of fabric. The yarn is so soft and light, yet warm. Perfect for indoors in winter, cool nights in summer, and all of fall and spring. The cut of the sweater itself is casual (like a refined sweatshirt) and flattering. The fit of the ones I got was true to size, and I was surprised at the reviews that complained about the fit. Somehow they must have gotten lemons. I love it and highly recommend it. And do check out the cardigan in merino cotton.

I generally like this sweater's vintage feel, but it is much too big. I am typically between sizes so I went with the larger size based on some of the other reviews. Big mistake! The body of the sweater is so voluminous on me it looks ridiculous.
While the lower part of the sleeves are fitted, the rest of the sweater has a loose, draped style. My suggestion: if you are between sizes, or prefer a more fitted look, go with the smaller size.
FYI, the "bright navy" is actually a deep navy and the stripes are more ochre/off-orange than the dark yellow in the picture.

Just bought another color in this sweater. Perfect for WI fall weather. Can be dressed up or down. Fits well. Be sure to follow washing and drying instructions. Quality product.

I wanted to love this sweater. The material is super warm, almost felted. The cut is really cute. But it's just too darn small in the neck and arms. I sized up and got a large based on other reviews, and the body is ok, slightly boxy. But the neck is still too tight, and the sleeves are frankenstein-esque in their unfortunately abbreviated length. Alas! Please LL Bean, restyle this with longer sleeves and a wider neckline. I beseech you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lurb14 Just what I expected!
This is a great sweater at such an affordable price point. It drapes nicely without being boxy, and it's comfy without looking unpolished. The material is warm enough, but not so warm as to feel uncomfortable indoors. I would highly recommend this for layering over shirts and/or shells for a casual or dress casual ensemble. In the past, I've had problems with L.L. Bean. clothing being too large for my petite frame. This sweater is definitely roomy, but not overwhelming. I give it four stars because it has lots of pro's, and it lives up to, but does not exceed my expectations. I would absolutely recommend this sweater to anyone looking for a comfy, not-too-fitted layering piece. It looks just as pictured online.

Love this sweater. It has a classic look without looking old fashioned and the fabric has a wonderful non-bulky feel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CookandChauffeur I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if I could!
This is one of those sweaters that you look at on line and can't quite figure out if it will work for you in real life. But it does--for me, anyway. I'm in between a L and XL; got the XL and it is comfortably unconfining without looking too big. Haven't washed it yet. It's not see-through at all, and it looks like it will make a nice layering piece this fall and winter. Color is a true Navy.

I like this sweater. Dark plum beautiful sweater. It's a light weight knit. Just make sure you like a raglan sleeve.

The wool and cotton fabric is very fine, with the wonderful spongy feel of good wool yarn. The cut of the garment is generous, so it drapes well. I wore this to an outdoor event on a 60-degree day that became chilly when a breeze came up or when the sun went behind the clouds, and I was very comfortable. The navy color is stunning. I hope Bean makes more garments in this fabric.
