Nice chairs. Seem to be just as advertised. Very light and easy to carry. We have used them a couple of times at Basketball games as bleacher seats. Back support quite good. Back can be adjusted with the attached straps. Straps are very sturdy and well attached to the chair. Quality is very good and well made. I must say they are probably not suited for a very large person but fit me well as I am 5'7" and 145#. We will see more about the use as we use them more but so far so good. Probably should give them five stars but since I have just started using them and I don't rate quite as high as I sometimes should. Overall very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BuckeyeBeaver Lightweight, comfortable
Since our stadium does not permit rigid back seats these are the next best thing. Besides giving good back support they are very light and easy to carry. They are easy to adjust depending on body size and the amount of cold-weather clothing worn.

We recently purchased these trail chairs. We used them for a little extra padding for bleacher seating at a recent concert. We really appreciated the back support. The seat part could use a bit more padding. That's an easy fix...I will just make small padded cushions to use with the chairs. We will use them again while attending future concerts (with extra padding) . We also liked that they were compact and light to carry. We recommend these chairs to others, if only for the back support they give you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by NoMoreLLBean97060 Horrible Chair
I've loved LLBean for years but things seem to be slipping. Chair provides no support, constantly folds in on itself, and the nylon adjustment straps won't stay in place unless the chair is completely upright. We really tried to like them but no one in our family could sit comfortably in them. On top of that, had to pay return shipping to LLBean for such a poor product.

My 15 year old son brought this seat on his first Outward Bound experience and says he used it on the mountain and off the mountain. He thanked me more after his trip than before it. That proves the worth of this seat!

I purchased this chair years ago. It has stood up to many kayak camping trips on the islands off the Maine Coast. I have also used it for multiple motorcycle trips around the Canadian Maritimes. It has held up very well. It is very comfortable for sitting around a camp fire in. It appears the new ones are of the same build as the old ones. You will not be disappointed.

Sitting on the lawn at Shakespeare in the Park earlier this summer, my back was getting tired and stiff. One blanket over, a guy was lounging in one of these trail chairs. "Do those really work?" I wondered. "I mean, how can something that small be comfortable?"
As an experiment, I ordered one from Bean's knowing I could return it if it didn't work out. And I'm here to report that the answer to both questions is "yes." The chair really does offer support and it is comfortable. Bottom padding is so-so, but it sure beats the cold, hard ground.

Rated 2 out of 5 by bravo123 Worth the $ but not great
Got it with my $10 discount, so it was cheap. Flimsy though. Must sit up very straight or you will fall back. I weigh 125lbs. and it curled up so I can image it being worse if you weigh more. It is light weight to carry though.

Years ago, when my youngest started doing competitive gymnastics, my family gave me the gift of the original travel chair. It is still in good shape after many gymnastics meets, and now Special Olympics swim practices and meets for my older daughter. But, being version 1.0, it lacked some of the bells and whistles of the current version. With my husband retiring soon, and attending swim practices with me, a second chair was needed, and we purchased the newest model.
This one is even more comfortable than the older one. It is a bit narrower, so the straps don't have to be pulled almost all the way in to get good back support. The handles make it much easier to carry, and I don't have to worry about tripping over the straps. The pocket is also a nice addition, holding reading material and a water bottle for those long practices. The red color is attractive, and makes it difficult to forget the chair and leave it behind.
