This jacket is wonderful. I bought it for my husband for a dress jacket but also one for when he goes into the woods. I bought the Loden color and it is a deep rich green. There are many pockets both inside and outside which was surprising because it wasn't in the product description.
The jacket is heavy which will be great for Maine winters. This is a highly recommended purchase. It is definitely worth the price.

This was just what I was looking for in a winter coat. I prefer the weight of a wool coat and this is just right; not too heavy and not too light. It has the feel of an older style - not fluffed up with poly fill and nylon. It has plenty of pockets in just the right places and they are lined with a very soft material (not sure how well they will wear). The color is good although I wish it were a bit muted. Zipper and buttons were nice and beefy. I think this coat will last. Cozy.

This was my first "throwback" to wool. I was always a goretex down kinda guy. I purchased this parka last jan on sale. Finally got to wear it to actually hunt on monday. It performed amazingly! Mid 20's in the stand at day break with just a flannel shirt and union suit under it and i was perfect. Best part about wool minimal scent holding and blood will not cling/stain it. I have worn this parka out on cold winter days for dinner and even with it being camo everyone compliments me on it. All in all and awesome and well worth purchase. My only complaint is the piece to connect the collar around your neck when it is up was a bit snug but, i wear a scarf so i do not use it now anyway. A must have for any cold weather hunter!

I really love this coat. It's comfortable, warm, and exactly my style. The only thing that could make it better would be for the zipper to be a two-way or stop at the belt line. As it is now, if you have the coat zipped and you try to bend over or sit down it binds up around your hips/upper thighs and severely limits mobility. Trying to squat down in this coat is impossible.
Everything else about this coat is wonderful and I'm very happy. However I'm going to look into having the zipper shortened by a few inches before next winter.

My husband wanted a dressy, warm wool coat suitable for Montana winters. I found this parka in loden heather and based on the picture, description and reviews, it seemed to be just what we were looking for. Now, we expected loden heather to be dark gray based on the picture and also because of our previous experience of a similar loden coat of a different brand. Imagine our surprise when the actual color of the parka turned out to be mossy green! It detracts from the dressiness of the parka. (It's very similar to the green color of the LL Bean logo and the green bar on the top of their webpage.) When I called customer service about it, she did confirm that it is indeed mossy green. I wish they had included that bit of information in the description. On the plus side, my husband does like the fit and warmth of the parka. We're probably going to keep it for that reason.

Great coat as long as you don't sit in a tree stand or blind.Needs a 2 way zipper.Cost me $42 to replace w/a two way.

This is a excellent Jacket. I have Gone Ice Fishing in 20 degree Weather and windy and Stayed Nice and Warm. The Pockets are big enough for Either Deer Calls or Ice Fishing Gear. The Zipper is Strong and Made of Metal. The Pockets are lined with a Nice Soft Material that keeps my hands warm. The Material is nice and quiet walking through the Woods. I Love this jacket it is Warm enough for Hunting and Ice Fishing and other Outdoor Activities, Yet looks great going out on the Town with the Wife. i would strongly Recommend This Jacket to any of my Friends.

I have worn several jackets in my day and this one is by far the warmest most comfortable jacket I've ever owned. There are plenty of pockets and the fit is like a custom coat. It is a perfect length, arm lenth is perfect, plenty of room to wear a blazer and this as an overcoat. Best dress coat I've ever owned.

Great coat....quiet,warm,plenty of pockets and well made. It arrived just in time for that blast of cold weather in the Catskill Mts. last week while hunting coyotes and kept me warm in mid-teen temperatures.
