Rated 5 out of 5�by PapaBearDE Nice shoes, good fit I just received my Halyard boat shoes and tried them on right away. I ordered my usual size and they fit great and are comfortable. I like the way they lace up. They are not loose like some other styles with rawhide laces. Another reviewer pointed out that the laces are sewn in. I think this is done to keep the laces around the edge of the shoe in place. If the laces used to tie the shoes ever need to be replaced, I think it would be possible to simply cut the laces and replace the top portion with new ones. We'll see. Think this is a minor concern and I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for comfortable boat shoes. May 15, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5�by gordo53 Don't wear out the laces! This may seem like a picky complaint, but the round fabric laces eventually wear out and there is no way to replace them that I can see. They are sewn into the shoe. After break-in the shoes are quite comfortable and have held up well. I would continue to wear them if I could replace the laces. Very unfortunate. April 13, 2013

My older son is on his second pair - he wears them every day and says they are very comfortable. Both boys have high arches and use separately purchased insoles that fit well in this shoe. They hold up well and are also priced very well. I would highly recommend this shoe - they have many sizes (my older son wears a hard-to-find size 14) and widths. April 3, 2013

Specifically regarding shoe size, it was initially recommended to go with ones standard/regular size when purchasing. I did so and upon receipt, the "cut" was small. Had to trade up an one-half size.
