Rated 5 out of 5áby Uplandguy Best brush pants for all around upland hunting
I have a pair of these I have worn for a few years and highly recommend them for all types of bird hunting. The design, fit and finish is great. The sizes are full cut with just the right amount of articulation in the knees. 1000 denier facing is the highest grade I have seen. Double seat, and signature rear flap pockets are the same as what I have on my 1979 origional whipcord pants. I just got a new pair as a birthday gift and they are the same great pants,no corners cut. I also got a pair of the new Technical Brush pants, sorry to say they are terrible. The cut and fit is just strange.
No expandable waistband and very cheap sewn on patch pockets. I have returned them for the much better standard brush pants. The designer should have just added the technical touches to the already best in class brush pants and they would have knocked it out of the park. Still love LL Bean and would love to order the Technical pants if they get back to designers that are upland bird hunters.

Fit and finish is excellent. Bought mainly to wear in raining conditions, but all we have is snow right now. Have worn them for an eight day period and they still look great, i.e. Very few wrinkles.
They are somewhat noisy in that the when the legs touch each other the nylon fabric creates a scratchy sounds-but not that noticeable. With a pair of wool long johns on the pants kept me dry and warm in 20░ weather while snow plowing 400 foot driveway.
They are a winner!

áby ElmerFuddFromMN Great Enhancement Suggestion
These are the most comfortable pair of pants on the market to wear all day in the field/forest. I customized a pair for my own personal use. I would be interested in seeing L.L. Bean offer these in a Khaki/Blaze-orange option for higher visibility and safety.

Rated 5 out of 5áby mooseandsquirrel Another great Bean item!
As usual, L.L. Bean hit the mark. These pants allow me to push through thick briars without worrying about shredding them. Only the tip of one really long thorn has made it through & it barely got me. The adjustable waistband is a really nice feature, as it allows you to layer up for whatever conditions you face in the field and still be comfortable moving around. I have noticed that the big cockleburs will stick to the fabric between the legs where there is no reinforcement so watch that. Those come off easily so no worries there. Really glad I bought these pants. They've made pheasant season much more enjoyable.

Pants are comfortable. They are true to size. The expanding waist is great for adding heavier insulating wear and still be able to zip up! Pants are well made. No problems with briers or walking through dense underbrush when necessary. Worth every penny. Will probably outlast my years of hunting.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Birdhunt Durable and comfortable
This is the second pair of these I've ordered. The first was three bird seasons ago. The first pair is going strong still, after logging some 765 miles in two years. They are not overly warm in early season and plenty in our winter here in the mountains of western NC. The elastic waist allows colder weather layering with the ability to tuck in and remain comfortable. Best upland pants I've come across. They have proven tough and durable.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Kaari Best made upland pants I've ever had
These pants are superior to any other upland pants I've purchased in terms of quality. The fit is FAR superior that most hunting pants. It's like LL Bean actually took the time to build a pant that wears correctly. This seems like a simple thing, but in the 20 years I've been hunting, this is the first well made pair of pants I've purchased.
The only negative I can see is that they're pretty light and I'm concerned that moisture is going to seep through. Someday, maybe I can afford the gortex upland pants to supplement my wardrobe for wet and snowy days, but these pants are going to work out just fine for now.
Also of note, the service LL Bean provides is top notch. I purchased these pants on a Friday, paid for expedited shipping and had them in hand on Tuesday. It was very much appreciated.

These pants are as good as advertised. They kept me dry in the early morning wet grass and no briers got to me either. The expandable waist makes for a very comfortable pair of pair of pants. I field trial a lot and plan on ordering another pair.
