Well constructed, lots of adjustments to meet your needs, lighter than aluminum. Personally do not like the blade shape and do not seem to get the same pull that I am used to. Got a blister the first time I used it and never do.

I bought this paddle do accompany a new kayak. Of course this paddle showed up first. I used it with another kayak and am glad I did. It was a little shorter then other paddles I have, but the feel and performance that this paddle has is great. I just wish it came in a bit larger size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jamie Great paddle, especially for the price
I originally purchased inexpensive aluminum shaft paddles when I bought my kayak, but I returned them for these. The aluminum paddles were a little heavier, but it was the fit and finish that really turned me off. The joint between the two halves of the aluminum paddles felt loose and I was worried about corrosion from salt water. The connection on the Skagits is rock solid, plus you can feather them at virtually any angle you want and there's a great visual indicator that shows you what degree you're setting them to. Add that to the fact that they won't corrode and that they're lighter than aluminum shafts and you've got a great product. In fact, they feel almost identical to the Camano model, which costs nearly twice as much.
