Rated 5 out of 5 by Austin2 Great fit and goes with so many LL Bean tops
I bought the dark plum and I found that it matches perfectly with a casmier sweater I purchased 5 years ago from LL Bean. This is not the first time I have had the surprise of a sweater matching a new purchase from LL Bean. The fit is a little tighter then the jeans on the waist but workable.

These are the best pants that can be dressed up for office wear or dressed down for casual wear. The fit is perfect with just enough give to be comfortable, but not frumpy. I love being able to tuck a shirt in without having the elastic stretch show in the back.
I wish these were available in many, many more colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RogueRiver The BEST stretch casual pants!
The website lumps reviews for the easy-stretch jeans and twills together, and my overall rating of 5 stars applies to both. Both are very comfortable, thanks to the overall stretch in the fabric, which makes the fit muh more forgiving than LL Bean's heavy denim jeans. As a result, I now wear the stretch twills predominantly, both indoors and outside, rather than the classic jeans I used to favor. For winter, I switch to the flannel-lined version of the stretch twills, although I wish fleece lining was an option. When darker jeans suit the California version of dress casual, I wear the stretch jeans in rinsed denim or stonewashed (which is only a bit lighter).
To fit my "hippy" pear-shaped figure, I usually wear XL pants or, in these, size 18. Because the stretch in the fabric also means the pants can shrink in the dryer's heat, I prefer to machine-dry them partway to remove wrinkles from the spin cycle, then line-dry them the rest of the way. Otherwise, I find it a struggle to zip the pants straight from the dryer, but then they quickly stretch back to normal. The fabric is almost carefree: a little spot remover and a heavy wash cycle take care of stains from gardening, and the pants machine-dry with minor ripples but no pronounced wrinkles as long as they don't remain buried in the dryer after spinning stops.
Comfort, good fit, easy care, and a choice of twill or denim: what more could I want in casual pants?

Rated 5 out of 5 by IthacanNY Best jeans!
I LOVE these jeans. And this says a lot because I have a really hard time finding jeans that fit. I'm 5 '4", ~125 lbs, slightly curvy through hips/rear/thighs, and jeans frequently don't fit--too loose in the waist, too tight in the hips or thighs, too uncomfortable to bend or move.
I bought my first pair of these jeans on a whim. My old jeans were dying and I have a LL Bean credit card so if the jeans didn't fit, I could send them back at no cost. I haven't bought many pants or jeans from LL Bean so I wasn't sure about sizing. Most likely a size 6 or 8, but never sure. I went with the 6 on a whim.
Got the jeans, tried them on, and they fit PERFECTLY!? This NEVER happens in stores, let alone mail order.
I promptly bought two more pairs. The darker rinse is especially nice. I will even wear them to work with a sweater, blazer, and oxfords. They "dress up" well. That said, they are very comfortable. The stretch makes them comfortable, easy to move, and they don't show wrinkles.
A few reviewers have complained about shrinkage. I never put my jeans in the dryer (these or any other brand). I wash them on warm and hang them on a drying rack. I've had no issues with shrinkage and the color has stayed well despite wearing (and washing) them a lot.
And to LL Bean: I really, really wish you made these jeans in black as well. Would you consider adding the color? Please?

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cvdcam Waist way tiny tight!
Gizmo wouldn't allow me to signal waist tight. I'm a size 10 in every pant I've worn for 15 years, no problem. These pants were 3 inches from ability to close. Crazy! Too bad. They seemed otherwise fine although quite long. I hate sending stiff back. Theses my first pair llbean pants but they will be the last.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Pennsyperson Big disappointment
I loved these pants the first few times I wore them, but I quickly discovered that they got shorter each time I washed them. I even air-dried them several times but that didn't seem to help. Also, the material soon looses its shape as well. I was really disappointed.

These pants fit me perfectly in waist hip length. They feel good, cottony and the elastane is just enough for comfort but it doesn't ruin the soft cotton feel. I'm completely happy with them. I probably won't put them in the washer and dryer because I have those efficient kinds that use an inch of water and positively rip clothing to shreds. For reference I'm 5'4" 140 lbs have a middle age figure, slim but lost my waist somewhere along the way. I ordered size 12, regular, khaki color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Otra Great pants but intermittent shrinkage in length
These are great looking and fitting pants - however, after washing 3 pairs, only one pair remained at the 32" length I had ordered. Followed the washing instructions and even hung them up damp to dry. Almost gave up when I found 1 pair had remained the proper length. Not quite sure what the issue was - a bad batch? I like these so much I've just ordered another pair and will hope that they will not shrink. Thank goodness for LL Bean's return policy!
If you've had the shorts version - the pants have the same great fit and the rinsed color looks dressier than you'd think (a plus!). Found the black color not to be "black enough" which is too bad - they just don't have the same polish.
If the shrinkage issue was just an aberration in several pairs then I hope these will continue to be offered for years to come!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shelseekr Perfect trouser style fit
Thanks to the other reviewers, I bought a size down for the legs to fit and bought a medtall instead of regular so i could adjust the length if needed (but they were perfect) and I love these pants! They look more like a trouser and not as casual as the non stretch ones. The waist worried me, but it is sssoooo stretchy it fits perfect too. Will definitely buy more!

Rated 4 out of 5 by customer111 Left and right sides in waist aren't symmetrical.
The material is thin but soft with 98% cotton and 2% spandex. The lower spandex content feels less rubbery so 2% is good. But the elastic waist band seems twisted slightly to left side so it feels weird to keep it on. I am going to move the button a bit to compensate for the asymmetry to see if it works better. I don't have this asymmetry problem wearing other elastic waist pants from LLB.
