Rated 5 out of 5 by Tom22 Stylish, light, warm, comfortable, nice pockets
This is my first Polartec garment. I had never been interested in this fabric because I assumed it would have a cheap synthetic feel. But I read that it had been very popular for many years, and I decided to try it. It's incredibly light. When I pick it up, it's almost like it's not there. But it seems significantly warmer than a sweatshirt. It's very comfortable. I also like the look of it; reminds me a bit of the old London Fog windbreakers. I normally wear a medium, and this medium jacket fits me perfectly. The pockets are designed so that there are interior pockets as well as the zippered pockets accessible from outside the jacket. It's very handy and easy to put something in an interior pocket. I am very happy with this jacket, and the red color looks good too.

I have other fleeces, but this is my new favorite. It is ideal for the spring temps here in Michigan. It provides warmth while being comfy like a favorite sweater. At night when the temp cools off I put this on to walk my dog. The quality of construction and materials is up to the Bean high standard. I highly recommend this jacket.

My husband has a group of similar fleeces in his closet. We may as well donate the others since this style is the only one he wants to wear! He has at least four of these now. He really likes the general qualty, fit and convenient chest zip pocket. Here in Montana, it's a nice weight for year around use. Thank you LL Bean for a great product!

My teenage son requested this jacket. We were pleased with the quality, workmanship and fit. It is lightweight so he doesn't mind wearing it to school. It will be a great jacket for all of his camping weekends.

I bought this coat to wear at work, I am a currier and do a lot of walking outdoors. While this coat fits well and is comfortable, every time I wear, it sheds. I bought a navy blue and it constantly leaves fuzz balls on my clothes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by pickerdude51 sleeve opening sizing is a shot in the dark
It is SO EXASPERATING trying to buy equally sized garments from LLB ... I had to up size to an XL in the Trail Model Fleece because the Large shrunk 4" in the chest when washed ... and my 43" chest was skin tight to the fleece afterwards .. so I just got the XL in the mail and I plan to wash and shrink it down to make sure it fits ... and it should, as its chest is 3" larger than the L before washing and after shrinking 3" to 4", it should be purrrfect ... the only problem is that the sleeve trim that is supposed to mildy elasticize the wrist opening is huge ... I measured my Wind Challenger fleece and the Large Trail Model fleece and both have a 4" opening measured across the wrist opening laying flat, so that translates to roughly an 8" circumference around the wrist ... the XL I just got has a 5" wrist measured flat, or a 10" circumference ... of course, 10" is soooo big is slides down over the wrist onto the hand and the elasticized opening at the wrist does nothing .. so I just ordered 3 more XL's in the hope that 1 of them will pass muster and I can then wash it and wear it forever more .. and then return the 2 extra XL's and the shrunken Large to LLB ... I hate to do this to them, but their sizing is so whacko in some regards that a customer really has no options ... sigh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by pickerdude51 sizing is a headache
I am 5' 11" tall and 185 # with a 31" pants inseam, so my upper body is a little longer than the average 6' guy, but also a tad shorter than a true tall ... so finding upper garments with sleeve lengths and upper body lengths that work is always a bit of a challenge .. the Large regular length Trail Fleece showed my belt buckle when reaching the arms overhead and was too short .. the Large tall was a tad too long in the body and sleeves, but I figured it would shrink a bit when washed and dried and would probably work ... well, it did shrink a bit in the arms and body length to perfection, but also shrunk around the chest so it ended up fitting tight to the armpits and chest ... one would think my 43" chest would still leave comfy layering room even after laundering, but no dice ... so I ordered an Extra large regular, as it is about 4" bigger in the chest and a bit less than 1" longer in the sleeves and body than a Large regular ... after washing, it fits perfectly in the arms and body length and the chest still has a good 4" or so overall of layering room around the chest under the armpits ... let those who have ears, hear.

Cheaply make, cuffs very loose, upper slash pocket poorly supported, loose at the top. Not up to what I expect from LLBean, thought about sending it back but did not.
