Just as agile and comfortable as Scott said it would be. Absorbs the many bumps in the road that I encounter on my daily ride. Easy on and off! Assembled as I waited.

I really like this bike and I am enjoying riding it! It was not difficult to put together. I did run into a few challenges when I was assembling it, but the support people at LL Bean were able to walk me through things on the phone and help me get ready to try my new bike. I like the gears on this bike and I like that it is a woman's bike with no bar to contend with. I also like that I was able to get the right size bike for me. And lastly I had been saving my LL Bean dollars for this purchase. So I got 15% off and used my LLB $'s and the price was reduced substantially.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Barb03 Womans Arcadia Crusiert Bike
The Womans Arcadia Cruiser Bike is excellent for riding on the bike trails. Although I don't know that it could handle serious mountain bike trail, but that's not what I bought for.
I did have a problem purchasing it... The store delivered the wrong size bike even though the paper work had the right size. I didn't notice until I got home. Of course when I returned it the next day, they didn't have the right size and they had the order the right one. It took almost two weeks to get the correct bike The assistant store manage did compensate with a gift card. My advice, double check everything with the invoice before you leave the store.

by SpringfieldCruiser My new favorite LLBean Acadia Cruiser
I was satisfied with the purchase and service at LLBean. This bike rides comfortably on the road and goes straight up the hills smoothly. I took it out on a gravel trail, and got through it without any problem, but I'd rather keep it on the smooth surface to keep it in good condition and not to ruin such a pretty bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ProductReviewer Comfortable and great for around town.
The bike is perfect for cruising around town. It's very comfortable and stable. I don't recommend having it shipped to you unless you have put a bike together before. The instructions were not clear for a first timer like myself. I did manage to get it together and take it for a few rides before realizing that I really needed a road bike for the area I live in and the type of biking I do. LL Bean was great handling my exchange for a road bike. Their customer service and expert advice is exceptional.

I haven't ridden much in the last 20 years. Bikes have really improved since the old 10 speeds. Shifting is smooth. This bike has good shock absorption on the bumps--you don't feel a jolt like on my old bike. The seat didn't make me sore after a 1 hour ride, which is a nice surprise. The reflectors were a bit on the cheap side and my tire was bent on shipping but was easily corrected at a bike shop. The manual was obviously translated from Chinese and not very well. It says it is a "mountian" bike. It is legible despite some grammar/spelling issues. I look forward to riding it more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlaskaPackers Love my new bike!
The bike was a bit of a challenge to put together as it didn't come with specific, step-by-step instructions, but we got it done with only minor aggravation. I rode 12+ miles the other day with little discomfort and look forward to many more rides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by horsepal Best Bike I've ever owned
I was looking for a quality bike that I could ride on a combination of surfaces that include pavement, gravel and grass. I have owned some high dollar mountain bikes in the past but I was weary of the position these bikes put the rider in. I liked the looks of the L.L. Bean Acadia immediately and I am so pleased that it feels as good as it looks. It is a delight to ride and we live in the Sierra foothills so there are some good grades and this bike's gearing system make it a breeze to ride up the hills. I did not find the bike difficult to assemble, although I had to read the instructions more thoroughly than I typically do, sometimes twice ;-) The seat post was missing from the contents. I called L.L. Bean customer service and within two days I had the part! I'm so pleased that I chose this exact bike over the many others that I looked at, including some that were twice the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tdarlyn Very comfortable and easy to ride.
Watch how you change gears. Don't go from one extreme to the next. Be sensible in shifting. It' a great ride. Comfortable seat and comfortable ride. I love it.

I purchased this bike during a pre-summer sale LL Bean was having online, slightly concerned despite the other positive reviews, that buying a bike online would be a mistake.
It wasn't. This bike is comfortable, smooth, and works well on paved road and dirt trails. I am 5'6" and opted for the medium size frame because I have a short waist and long legs. Fits great. I like the larger, anatomically correct seat and that the handlebars are adjustable during assembly, so you can find the tilt you prefer.
I assembled the bike myself; it took about 1.5 hours total as I know nothing about the technical aspects of bicycles. The directions try to be clear but the visuals that accompany them are difficult to see detail. I took it slow, reviewed the online directions as they are in colour and I could probably do it in 30 mins now that I've done it once.
Great economic purchase for the recreational rider!
