It has held up well so far...getting use to the new top. Only concern I can see happening is the lid sliding up and water spilling in a lunch box or back pack...but has not happen yet. Like most LL Bean products, it is high quality and well worth the price.

Excellent bottle for every day use. I even use mine while in the house, so my water or whatever doesn't spill out. I had a cheaper one w/the same kind of top but it consistently leaked. I thought this would be the same but opted to purchase it and give it a shot knowing LL Bean has an Excellent return policy and their customer service is nothing but the best!
I do like the way it fits into the car bottle holders. It also keeps my water cold for a very long period of time unlike the cheaper one I had.
My only draw back w/this, as w/others w/the same type of cap is that it can be difficult to drink out of. If they had a pin hole for air to escape while drinking it would be a bit better. I do like the large top opening cap so one can use ice cubes in it.
The color is very bright, (I got purple) and I like it.
Yes! I would recommend this to a friend w/o a doubt. I believe it is made better than your "average dollar store" ones. Of course it comes w/the price too but I found it to be well worth it more so when I got it on sale!!!

Good water bottle for everyone in our family, kids and parents. We felt this was a better and healthier option than plastic. Kids loved them and have been using the every day. My husband and I noticed we are drinking more water by taking them to work every day. The only down side, the flip up top can pop off easily. Not a big deal for grown ups, as it clips right back on. Just concerned the kids will end of losing the top, but overall a great water bottle and would recommend it to others.

We ordered two new canteens with the redesigned top. I have to say that we do not like the new style. The top has two pieces. One of ours has already gone down the garbage disposal --retrieved, fortunately. It also is not easy to drink from.

It's only major flaw is the plastic on the base of the bottle. I was surprised that LL Bean would put such a flimsy part on one of their products. It really should have been made of rubber, like the ones on some of the inexpensive coffee travel mugs I have. The first day I had the bottle, it had fallen on the ground and the bottom cracked rather easily. That being said, I still really like it and would probably buy it again.

The bottle holds water and doesn't leak, but the spout is awkwardly designed, with the result that the bottle hits my nose when I drink unless I rotate the bottle 90 degrees. Also, the bottle is too thin to be firmly gripped in my car's cup holder and because of its height falls over if I don't start or stop very gently.
