finally somebody did this right! the diopter is colored the same as the rest of the lens, it doesn't extend too far up, and they are a light enough shade that i can wear them all day thru different light conditions on the water. they are large enough that they're comfortable for a 7 3/4 head. i use these for fishing, don't need to take them off all day! good job, folks!

I used my new polarized bifocal sunglasses last week on Spring Creek in PA in less than ideal flyfishing conditions - high and murky water. I was amazed that I was able to see trout even in those conditions! Now if I can only get them to take my fly...

The glasses are very well built. The lenses are clear. The bifocals help me tie on my flies. Excellent glasses!

Rated 2 out of 5 by SFord Dissatisfied with fit & function!
Sorry to report that these Polarized Fishing Bifocal Sunglasses, TA270013, weren't to my liking. Normal distance vision seems a bit distorted, and the bifocal lense areas are a bit too tall, which interfers with the normal distance field of view. Additionally, the fit isn't quite right, as the frames seem a bit askew. I just received a new pair of Polarized Performance Bifocal, Large, Sunglasses, TA242412, which by comparison, are far superior...especially now that the rubber nose cushions have been replaced with molded plasic as part of the frames. Fit & function of the TA242412 are far superior to that of the TA270013 Fishing Sunglasses, which I will be returning shortly.

I bought my-self a new replacemnt pair of these sunglasses. They must be at least my third pair of what I thought were the same glasses. Unfortunately, they are not the same glasses. Here are the differences. One, they are a litter darker than pervious models (ok). Secondly, the bifocal insert is slightly larger and higher than previous pairs of the glasses. From my perspective, the larger and higher insert is not a good thing.

They are what I expected at a good price. The lens are better than my prescription glasses in filtering the glare and allowing light as it darkens. I just had cataract surgery but still need help for reading. Duplicating my prescription lenses would have cost several hundred.
I use them for golf and they work fine.

I need 2.5X readers and looking for replacement sunglasses solely for fishing I bought these on sale. Frame fit is solid, not too firm, and very comfortable on my medium size-7 head. The best thing, they don't darken so much in pre-dawn and twilight like the Maui Jim's I've been using, but still shield from UV and glare in bright sun. Mostly for that reason they are great for fishing. Maui Jim's will be relegated to other daytime use for which they are intended.

Haven't worn them much since purchase - given the lousy winter weather! They seem a little tight at the ear but may loosen with time. My previous pair, which unfortunately got lost, was extremely comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bayoubro These glasses will change your fishing life
I have 20/20 longrange vision but need magnifiers for reading (and tying on lures.) I bought these with the 2.0 bifocal magnifiers. They are placed low enough on the lenses that they don't otherwise interfere with driving the boat, casting, etc., but work like a charm for reading the GPS and changing baits. I'd given up using 4 lb test on my ultralight freshwater rigs but with these glasses I can manage to tie 4 lb just fine. They are polarized, too, so that improves the ability to spot fish. Well made and worth the $89 I paid.
