Just the jacket I wanted, but had to buy larger size than usual to get the right fit. I cycle daily and needed wind/water protection. I can layer as needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rick155 Great for cool weather riding
This jacket is exactly what I wanted for riding on cool Fall mornings. So far I've used it in temps ranging from high 40's to mid 50's, with either just a short sleeve jersey or a thin base layer + short sleeve jersey. High visibility yellow. Fit is true to size. It breaths extremely well while cutting the wind, and easily folds or rolls up to fit into a jersey pocket as the day warms up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JOHN105 Runs too small
Jacket seem nice, however, it runs way too small. I normally wear an XL Jacket. When my XL jacket arrived, I could not zipper it closed. I exchanged it for an XXL jacket. That one fit, but way too snug. I finally returned that jacket.

I may have had the wrong size but I returned this item. Just did not like the 'fit and feel' of it. I did not like it enough to exchange for another size.

Recipient loves the jacket. The original order turned out to be the wrong size, so I dropped the jacket off at a UPS store on Dec. 26 to be reordered in larger size. The process for me was very easy. The only problem was that the replacement wasn't delivered until today (Jan 10). I realize that much of the time involved in this return and replacement was UPS's doing, not yours. Just thought you might need additional feedback on your shipping...although I'm sure you've received plenty this year. Overall, the process was seamless, and the jacket was delivered where I wanted it to go (different address from original order). Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by FirebyFlint Too small
I thought the size was a little tight but acceptable but my family is telling me to return it. I bought an extra large and it is just too small.
I've never bought any clothing over an extra large in all my life and I am considered skinny by many. Heck, I can eat a meal of 2 helpings and still not gain weight with snacking in between meals!

Rated 4 out of 5 by fairlyfitforties good quality
This gilet has a great hand, the fabric is nice and soft, and the colour is visible in low light, only ... there's not a whole lot of reflective striping, so activities - cycling, jogging - prior to dawn, or past sundown might require a bit more reflective umph. I ended up sending mine back, not because I didn't like it, but because it was lacking some functionality for the price ... I didn't realise how much I would miss having pockets in the front. That said, this is a quality shell that presents a fitted silhouette. It just depends for what, and when, you want to use it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by TheEyesofTexas Cut way too small
As is so often the case with merchandise from L.L. Bean, this jacket was cut way too small in comparison with your competitors. It did not fit. We ordered a large, and it was at best a small. Please work to improve your sizing.

Perfect weight for cool temperature riding. I have trouble finding a jacket that breaths, yet is a good wind breaker; this jacket does both. I also have trouble finding fabrics that do not irritate my skin, especially around the neck. this jacket is soft and no-abrasive; a rare find. I especially like the bright color and used to use a riding vest; now the jacket fits the bill for daytime riding, especially in cloudy or low light conditions. Great fit and comfortable to wear. I love it and would recommend without reservation. I wear a large and ordered and extra large, which is roomy enough to wear a light jersey underneath on cooler days.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SavvyShopper22 Smells horrendous shortly after use
This is a nice product if you don't mind clothes that smell awful after wearing. Most of the polyester clothing that has come out in the last few years smells horrendous if you don't remove it very, very soon after working out. This is true of all the leading manufacturers I have tried, not just LLBean. The clothes are washed and smell pleasant when leaving the house. I run with a club and then hang out for a bit of social. After about 20 minutes it smells so bad I can't stand myself. It's not helpful when trying to be social. I have run for years and only the new polyester "sweat wicking" materials do this. This happened on even the very first time I wore it. My friends have the same not so pleasant odor from their "high tech" clothes also.
