Jacket was not what i was expecting for an item costing near $100 dollars. Very light weight material. Hood covers down over sight when worn, have to flip outer edge up to see where you're walking or hold it with your hand. zipper is difficult to zip and not as quality on the zipper i'd expect for a high price item. Coat covers down to knees, less pants area getting wet. Would suggest a tie string added to hood to keep it on in wind, had to hold it down when wind tried to blow it off head.

I was in the bank a couple of weeks ago, and I saw a customer with the LLBean Trail Model Raincoat.
I inquired about it, and the customer told me he loved it. And proceeded to show me his raincoat, and all the details , how convenient it is , being able to pack it, the hood and how smart it looks.I wanted to get one for my husband, and ordered it the minute I arrived home.
My husband also liked the raincoat, except he wished it was longer, it came to his knees. How ever he was very pleased with it.
I will be back to look for a longer version of it, I hope eventually you will carry one.

Comfortable and light weight. Looks good. Have not had a chance to test its waterproof fabric.

I recently purchased this coat for my husband but had to send it back because of the zipper. I am happy to say that the zipper on the replacement works great! I can now give this coat 5 stars!

The raincoat is exactly the right size. Come down around the knee area. Was looking for a rain jacket that was longer than the traditional type jacket and this met that requirement. The material seems to be quite thin and since it is winter, I haven't used it yet in the rain. It does seem to be quite expensive for such a lightweight jacket. BUT, it is LLBean and one can never go wrong with an LLBean product.

I wanted a longer raincoat, instead of today's short waist-ed offerings that are the norm. Despite the reviews on the zipper I decided to take a chance. I had no problems with the double zipper. It works as long as everything is in a proper straight alignment, which I suspect may be the problem with some reviewers. They could be angling the zippers instead of keeping them straight. I ordered the loden green & the color was true to the picture. Seems well made, but have yet to have rain to try it in. I do find the visor to be quirky, but adjusting the hood & a ball cap makes it work. Seems it's too stiff & needs to be more flexible. I'm 5' 8", about a solid 220#. I wear xlg in everything so that is what I ordered.. Fits good & the length hits me at the knees, which is what I wanted. I also have room for a hoodie or fleece if the weather is cooler.

Rated 4 out of 5áby grandmaofAanl A great coat, but still problems with the zipper
Bought this for my husband because he wanted a raincoat that covers his legs better. I have this same coat and love it. Unfortunately, like many other reviewers have stated, the zipper is awful!. It just doesn't want to go. I tried everything, and could not get it to zip without a LOT of work and patience. Otherwise, this is a good coat, really water resistant. I am returning and reordering in hopes of getting a better one, but, LL Bean, please take note and put a different zipper in these coats!

Rated 4 out of 5áby trainman52269 small pouch
The raincoat is nice and light weight. The hood does an excellent job. The pocket or pouch is way too small to jam the coat into. After using the pouch, the raincoat comes out all wrinkled.

its just a rain shell with a hood and zipper; not a jacket. It has ZERO lining. ZERO! The picture makes it look like there is a white cotton lining for SOME warmth. There's isn't. Just a fishnet-type breathable element. If it's 40 degrees and raining (like now in New England) you would still need to wear a coat under this jacket.
For what it is, not worth $90. Not even close.

Rated 1 out of 5áby RufusRed Overpriced, Awkward Hood
This raincoat has a hood with a sort of baseball cap like brim that so doesn't work. It kept falling into my eyes, blocking my vision no matter how I tried to lay it on my head. It's waterproof and the cut/fit isn't bad but for the price, with all due respect, I love LL Bean, it was like a glorified garbage bag. This product needs to go back to the drawing board.
