Easy to put on, comfortable, kept me dry. When the rain stopped and the sun came out they were comfortable enough to keep on until it got too warm. Only down side, there are no side pockets. I kept looking for a place to put my hands.

Overall I'm a happy camper with the rain pants. They'll keep me dry and they're easy to get on and off -- the length of the side zippers allow this. And the package got here quickly, too.
BUT (there's always a but, isn't there?) the drawstring keeper that's made out of (I'm guessing) foam rubber DOES NOT hold the drawstring where you position it against even slight pressure. It's a cheap failure and calls into question the value of the entire purchase. These pants weren't a bargain. If you like to snug up the waist on the pants, you have to knot the drawstring and this means undoing a knot to remove (or lower them -- there's no front zipper, guys). For the price, disappointing.

Windproof, waterproof, and they fit over his work clothes AND he can get them on over his work boots. At first he didn't like that there is only a rear pocket which has been one of the negative comments I had seen, but then he thought that he didn't really need one because these are to go over his regular work pants. His regular pants size is 36x30, I purchased the large pants, and they fit great over his jeans; not too tight or loose. Exactly what he was looking for, and at a reasonable price.

I don't recall ever having a pair of pants from LL Bean that does not have side pockets. So I was surprised that these do not have side pockets. There is just one pocket in the back, which is easier for a thief to get at than you. I also read a review that these pants are easy to tear. I rarely return anything to LLBean, but these are going back.

If you're like me, raincoats alone just don't do it. They may protect the upper parts of your body, but the rain then pours down on your legs. These pants are the solution. You can now be covered! The zipper feature on the bottom of the legs is great to easily pull pants over shoes or boots. I just bought them and hope they are durable. Given L.L. Bean's track record, I assume they will be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zorra Comfortable, waterproof and great fit!
I wanted a pair of rain pants that I could put on over regular clothing. These pants were a great choice! I am a 35" waist and was not sure if I should get the 32-24" or 36-38" waist. I ordered both to try. The 32-34" waist fitted well and gave some comfort room too and was what I kept. The material is thin but effective for its purpose; other brands had more thickness and weight, which I did not like. I like LL Bean's Velcro bottoms and ankle openings to allow for easy put-on.

I have had a Trail Model Raincoat for many years. It has kept me dry in a lot of rain. But my pants will still get soaked in really heavy rain. For those occasions, we have these Trail Model Rain Pants.

I like the pants (got the jacket also) but was surprised and dismayed that there were no front pockets! Only one pocket in the back. I am so use to pockets in my pants that I find this unacceptable. Pockets with zippers would have been great. Seems like a fine product but REALLY don't like it that there are no front pockets.

I've hiked a number of mountains with these pants.
They work well for the weather. I wouldn't mind pockets, but I don't care about the pockets since I'll have a jacket in the rain.
The real issue is simple: You can't sit down on a rock or tree without the pants ripping. I hiked about 30 miles, sat on a rock and little dots immediately tore into the pants. They are fine with rain, but aren't durable. I continued to use them for another 30 mile hike and sat again at some point--new tear. The size is fine, but the lightweight fabric isn't durable. Sadly none of the pathfinder pants fit me. These would be perfect with a better backside durability.

Bought these pants to wear at last night's Penn State-Rutgers game in the rain. These were perfect!! Wore them over jeans. Kept me perfectly dry and warm. The rain seemed to run right off them and they had a nice feel. Would be perfect if they had regular side pockets.
