Rated 4 out of 5 by Reelfoot comfortable, waterproof
Tried them out on the first rainy day. Fished in them for four hours. Stayed dry. Wondering if they will do the same as they wear.

Lightweight and comfortable. Perfect for use on any boat. Can wear with or without shorts or regular pants underneath and still feel comfortable. .

Rated 3 out of 5 by Woodsman2012 poor waist and lining tended to snag.
I bought these pants some time ago but the elastic went in the waist with only a few uses and as this was difficult to repair I had to take to wearing braces to hold them up.
I live in Ireland and you often get a rain shower on a day hike but I found the pants difficult to put on and off with hiking boots on - even light trail shoes - the lining tended to snag on the boots.
They are a reasonable price but I would pay a bit extra for a better overall rain pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaryanneMM Definitely waterproof!
My husband loves these pants -and the matching jacket - for kayaking. He's tried other so called waterproof pants, but they don't continue to work after extended time on the lake. He also loves the fact that they are light enough by themselves when the weather is mild, but also roomy enough to add a layer underneath when needed.

Fair, the pants generally work, but the waist draw string loosens too
easily, there needs to be a more secure and better tightening device.
I used them for winter hiking as an outside shell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by EvanAT Comfortable, good fit over pants
I purchased these to wear over my pants at work when standing out in the New England spring. Have not been able to test the waterproofability but they do a good job at stopping the wind and fitting nicely over pants. I'm ok with only having a back pocket but I do agree with other reviews about the waist strap, pretty cheap. Overall happy with my purchase.

Easy to put on, comfortable, kept me dry. When the rain stopped and the sun came out they were comfortable enough to keep on until it got too warm. Only down side, there are no side pockets. I kept looking for a place to put my hands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Awenshok They're .... OK
Overall I'm a happy camper with the rain pants. They'll keep me dry and they're easy to get on and off -- the length of the side zippers allow this. And the package got here quickly, too.
BUT (there's always a but, isn't there?) the drawstring keeper that's made out of (I'm guessing) foam rubber DOES NOT hold the drawstring where you position it against even slight pressure. It's a cheap failure and calls into question the value of the entire purchase. These pants weren't a bargain. If you like to snug up the waist on the pants, you have to knot the drawstring and this means undoing a knot to remove (or lower them -- there's no front zipper, guys). For the price, disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Needanewnickname The husband likes them!
Windproof, waterproof, and they fit over his work clothes AND he can get them on over his work boots. At first he didn't like that there is only a rear pocket which has been one of the negative comments I had seen, but then he thought that he didn't really need one because these are to go over his regular work pants. His regular pants size is 36x30, I purchased the large pants, and they fit great over his jeans; not too tight or loose. Exactly what he was looking for, and at a reasonable price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mouse1999 No side pockets
I don't recall ever having a pair of pants from LL Bean that does not have side pockets. So I was surprised that these do not have side pockets. There is just one pocket in the back, which is easier for a thief to get at than you. I also read a review that these pants are easy to tear. I rarely return anything to LLBean, but these are going back.
