I put the one in brown on my Christmas wish list and liked it so much that I ordered a second one in the same color. Decided to get one in black too. I really love the way they look. Of course, my enthusiastic endorsement may dissipate if they don't wear well but that's the peace of mind shopping at L.L. Bean. 100% lifetime guarantee.

I finally found a belt that lasts more than a couple of months. The stitching stays in place and the exterior surface doesn't wear off like other belts. I now have this belt in black and brown and like both.

My husband loves the quality of this belt as well as the width. Wished it came in black as well.

áby TommyBShopping Buckle Plating Wears Off Quickly
I love the look and construction of this belt. It was exactly the understated, clean-lined look I wanted for casual wear. I bought two of them. Right away, the nickel finish on the buckle began to wear off. Wherever it wore off, it revealed the copper-colored base metal underneath. I contacted LL Bean, and they very nicely replaced it with a new one. But the new one immediately started to do the same thing. I've continued to use it, because I didn't want to hassle with returning it again (and didn't see a point if the new one was going to do the same thing). So now I have a belt whose buckle looks very worn. I wish LL Bean would source the buckle from somewhere else. I've purchased belts from many makers, many of them not nearly as nicely made as this, and yet none of them have ever had the buckle plating wear off.

LLBean sells several belts that are appropriate for Jeans. They vary somewhat in flexibility, thickness and stitching.
This belt with the nickel finish roller buckle is very flexible and is easy to pass through the belt loops of Jeans. It has no stitching since it is a single layer of leather. The 1912 Jeans Belt is similar, but without the roller buckle and it has a brass like finish.
I also own Bean's Rugged Roller Belt. This belt has two layers of leather stitched back to back so it is considerably heavier, stiffer and costs much more. It is better for heavy weight Jeans with Winter linings or if you carry a lot of belt hung equipment.

Nice belt for khakis and jeans, but it's a little big. My pants are usually size 44 and I could have gotten a size 42 belt. There is also a big amount of stretch in the leather, which makes me think it won't hold up too long.

I've been looking for a good leather belt for my jeans for five years or better. This belt is one of the best I have ever bought. I love it.

Second one I've bought - still wearing the old one, but it's showing some scuffs and scrapes.
