The average height of women in the United States and Canada is almost exactly 5' 4".
Why, then, are your inseams so long that in order to match that height I have to order petite?
And since I'm not thin, my best fit is women (plus sizes). And you no longer offer this pant in petite length for women!
Bad enough you offer fewer colors for women, but these pants also cost us more. Either we have to put in the time to hem them or we have to pay somebody to do them.
And WHY? Because we are AVERAGE height. AVERAGE!!

I have these pants in many colors. They are my go-to choice if I want to look a little more dressed up than I am at home. I love their price, comfort and versatility, and the pleated front and crease down the middle are very flattering.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BirdlandMom Love the pleats, hate the "comfort waist"
For so many years my self-established work "uniform" has been LLBean Bayside Twill Pleated Pants, in all the colors. The smooth back silhouette looked professional and attractive. Now you only offer puffy-back pants that make me look and feel like I'm wearing bubble pants. Please bring back the smooth waistband pleated pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ziasunbird Attractive Slacks
I recently ordered these slacks after losing a significant amount of weight. I had been wearing other llbean slacks, first in 20W, then 18W (now baggy). Note that the sizing is very different between "W" and "regular" sizes. I ordered these in a 20 and they are quite snug. They fit, but are much tighter overall than the 18W. Fortunately, llbean has a size chart on line where you can compare measurements, so I knew what I was getting, and I wanted a snug fit, since I am continuing to slim down. The slacks themselves are very attractive and made with the usual good llbean quality. Looking forward to needing to purchase more in a smaller size in a few months!

I use these pants for my work uniform, when I'm not teaching martial arts. They are comfortable easy to maintain and hold up well. The only issue I have is a minor one, the button doesn't stay on for long and needs to be replaced which can be an inconvenience. However this issue doesn't prevent me from coming back to these year after year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mountainworker They seem better
I've worn these pants for years. This pair seems to live up to the old standard. For awhile I had trouble with the fit, material and the pockets being too little. These seem to be more like I expect and want. Good pockets, good material, good fit. They do seem a little longer, which is not good for me, but that's a small thing compared to the better quality and fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ruffintumbled More Stretch Needed
I have a very high rise and am lucky the Bayside twills fit me in this regard. My only wish would be that they have some stretch and rebound to them. By the end of the day, my twills are baggy and unkempt. If these pants had more give and take, they'd be perfect!

Rated 1 out of 5 by 5acrewood pleated front comfort waist
Loved LLB pleated front original fit pants. Worked great for my large hips, small waist, and mature tummy. Pants discontinued for a time and then returned. I was SO pleased and bought several pair. Gained weight and needed next size up and found that they were again discontinued and replaced with a "comfort", gathered waist. Tried these, but they look awful on me. They bunch in the back and make me look like larger around the middle than I am. To hide the bunched gathers I can't tuck in a shirt, but have to leave it out to cover the bunched gathers. For those of us who are pear shaped with a bit of tummy and small waist, a gathered comfort waist is NOT attractive or comfortable. I will now have to search for another product, as LLB pants no longer work for me.
