I am 5'5", 128lbs. and ordered the XS. I am long waisted but surprisingly the belt loops were in the right place for me....however the belt was too short to tie in a casual manner and the sleeves were too long and arm holes a bit tight. (I have narrow shoulders and thin arms.) The coat was beautifully tailored with nice details and a nice mid weight fabric that appeared to be cotton but was a blend so it probably won't wrinkle. My main beef was the color.....I ordered the sea thistle which looked blue on my monitor but it was definitely lilac or lavender so it is going back. If I reorder I think I will get the S in either the black or stone and shorten the sleeves.

I have received numerous compliments on this trench. I bought a large because I wanted to make sure the sleeves were long enough and they are. It's warm and definitely keeps me dry.

This is a very traditional trench coat. I was pleased with it in Black until I took it out of the closet (after purchasing it the month before), and noticed it had become covered in cat hair even though it was in a plastic cover.I had hoped since the coat has a hard finish that it that cat hair would not cling!
I am returning it and ordering the same coat in Stone so hopefully the cat hair won't show!
That will teach me not to order dark colors even though I love them.

First, the negatives, depending on your preference: it is three-quarters length rather than full length; it's a cotton-poly blend; there is a clasp at the neck; and it runs a bit big.
The positives: the blue color is a fantastic periwinkle; the fabric is rain repellent; it fits well over a suit; it's very well constructed; with the belt tied or fastened, it is jaunty; the collar can be opened in at least three ways; and it is washable.
I wore this jacket to three Easter services and received many compliments (which is not the point of Easter but relevant to this review). It was a cheerful counterpoint to a rainy weekend.
My favorite purchase of last year was a plum quilted jacket, but this will be stiff competition. I certainly recommend it.

This coat was lovely, well-made and a beautiful color, but I was drowning in it. I could have worn 2 suits underneath and it was still too big so I had to send it back.

I ordered this trench coat in yellow. It is a lovely shade :-). This goes with a lot of colors!! and it makes me smile all the time. :-)
The jacket is really well made, and a flattering cut. As others have commented the belt loops are a bit high, I moved mine an inch lower, with great results. no other adjustments have been necessary, it fits perfectly across the shoulders, bust and hips.
The pockets are good and deep as well.
I am 175cm and 93kgs, and qualify as "curvy".
I purchased this for riding my ("old-school") bike or walking the dog. The gusset in the back provides really good movement.
I am saving up for one of the other colors. I just can't make up my mind which one.

I bought it in the Coral Rose color, and got the Commuter Hat in the same color to match. THEY"RE GREAT. The color is beautiful; it's long enough to cover most of the knee length skits I wear in the Springtime (but not too long); and the hat rolls up to fit in the pocket. FYI: I usually wear a S for LL Bean sizing, but bought the Medium here because I want to be able to wear it over suits. I tried it on over a suit, and I guessed right for size. It fits nicely without looking bulky. AND, the wrinkles from the box were gone in a few hours of putting it on a hangar. I think it will do well for a pack-and-go item for travel.

This trench coat is fantastic. I'm 5'6" - 175 - wear a size 10, DDD - bought the stone color in a medium - very stylish - flattering fit - love the belt tied and buttons and clasp at the top tho I leave the clasp open - it's just a nice detail. Thinking about getting the black one.....

Took a chance and bought this coat without trying it on; Many fine reviewers provided sound guidance. This is not a straight cut Mama style coat- this is the fashionable slight A-line coat. I am hour glass petite- with curves. This coat looks fabulous on. I sized up from PM to a PL- enabling me to layer a dress suit underneath. This did leave drape in the skirt and slight tucking in when belted- the chic.early 1960's look- I prefer a coat I can move in and layer with- I rarely want or buy a straight close cut coat- that fashion fad is past.I have the CoralRose color- its lovely. I'm buying this in the stone also.
