After stalking this jacket for months I was finally able to pick it up on sale at the Outlet store. I got the dark plum color and it is a beautiful color. I agree the sleeves are a little short under the arms but because I got the jacket on sale I will deal with it. I also found that it ran large. I usually always order a large for an outer jacket but with stye I was able to wear a small. I am 5'6" and 125 lbs.

I received my jacket today and was so ecstatic that I waited for UPS outside my door, to be let down. The jacket is absolutely amazing in terms of color and quality. The issue is with the sleeves. When I tried to raise my arm, the whole jacket raised up. It was so uncomfortable to wear. I really wanted to love this jacket. I don't understand why LL Bean designed the sleeves so low, which in turn makes the jacket uncomfortable. I can barely raise my arms. The jacket has to go back unfortunately. ;-(

Comfortable,cozy lining falls below hips. The pockets are deep and warm have received many compliments on jacket it's lovely in pink and hard to get a barn jacket in pink I love it!!!!!!

I love this jacket. It's a perfect weight for spring weather.
Based on reviews I ordered a large. This is roomy and I could have ordered a medium; however, it is nicely tailored so I can wear a sweater under it and if I don't, it doesn't look too baggy.
I definitely would recommend this to a friend.
I want to order other colours but they have been out of stock!

Would you please consider carrying this jacket in the larger sizes next year? I had purchased one of these jackets many years ago but I now need one a little 'larger' and you do not carry them in the plus sizes #1X-whatever#.
The old jacket that I have was made very well and it must be about 20 years old by now. I still hang onto it hoping that I will get into it again.

I have marveled at the fact that your clothes often look better in real use than on a model. This is an example. The quilting is very current. Having the sleeves rolled up to reveal a plaid lining is as well. As another reviewer pointed out, the collar looks great whether turned up against the chill or folded down to show the plaid, and the fabric has the heft to hold either look. The silhouette is slimming and the length is perfect. I love traveling with this jacket because it packs small and looks smart in North America or in Europe. It is warm, but light weight enough for indoor shopping. The long interior pockets can hold a passport and my camera. The lining is cleverly designed and it even looks great just hanging on a chair back. This is a preppy look or a well traveled elegantly simple look. I have it in black and am thinking of ordering the whitish color. I haven't washed it yet, but otherwise, I am completely happy with it.

I really thought this might be the perfect jacket for me, it's definitely very nicely made and an attractive looking jacket. After reading all the reviews I ordered it in a large because several reviewers mentioned an issue with arm movement. I usually wear a medium, but thought sizing up might solve the problem. It did help with that issue, but the large was definitely too big for me. I returned it for a medium, which fit perfectly, but unfortunately the issue with arm movement forced me to return it. Not having the ability to raise my arms up or forward comfortably would be a problem driving and lifting bags out of the car. Hopefully when L.L. Bean designs the next generation of this jacket it will be less restrictive.

I was looking for an attractive, pack-able and water resistant jacket for a Spring trip to Germany. This jacket is every bit as nice quality as the designer brand quilted jacket I looked at for a fraction of the price. Am so glad I thought to check out LL Bean before buying! Have had many compliments already. It's very comfortable and I really like the fabric - just the right weight for travel. Trim, but roomy enough to layer underneath. Will work for day or night. Highly recommend.

I love my new quilted riding jacket. It leaves room for a sweater underneath and is loose enough for comfort. Looks great. Much nicer than a hoodie jacket but as comfortable.
