Rated 5 out of 5 by seattlekd Excellent all-purpose rain jacket!
I can't say enough about how great this jacket is for a rain jacket. It's a bit on the pricey side for a rain jacket, but well worth it if you are out in the rain a lot.
I bought this jacket for a family member last Christmas, and she loved it so much that I decided to buy myself one this year, as I recently got a new puppy who needs a lot of walking, and well, it rains a lot here in Seattle!
I normally wear a size 8-10, and am of medium height, and the size medium fit me perfectly, with just enough room to wear a sweater or fleece jacket underneath, but not too much room. The dark royal blue is a good color that blends well with most of my wardrobe. The jacket is well made, with a good hood and velcro on the sleeves. I have received a number of compliments on the jacket, which is surprising for a raincoat!

I love this garment. I did get it in P Medium because I wanted room for a fleece garment or sweatshirt. I'm 5' 2" and about 118 lbs & usually buy PS. It is so packable & comfortable, the sleeves are Velcro adjustable, the hood has a little visor & is very good at keeping rain off glasses. I chose the dark blue & like its neutrality...can wear it with anything. Not too dark a blue. Just right. I highly recommend this raincoat.

This jacket is really pretty. I ordered in periwinkle. Love the color. I ordered a Med. I am 5ft 9, 155#. It fits perfect. The sleeves run on the long side, however there is velcro on the cuff to tighten. That works perfectly. I would not have ordered a smaller size as I would prefer the sleeve longer vs. shorter. There is room to fit a sweater underneath. I have not worn in rain yet, but my kids have the kid's version and the jacket is great in the rain.

I work outside, taking care of horses and riding about 10 a day, in the rain, when it does rain. So, I need a legit raincoat. I was really excited about this one. So far, I've worn it twice, never washed it, and water seeps right thru--leaving me soaked. I wish I had saved a little more $$ and purchased a different one. Not sure if I just need to get the next heavy duty version up from LLBean or switch companies. Kind of heartbreaking....

Purchased for my 15 year old daughter. She tried wearing the coat on three different occasions in pouring rain; and she was soaked underneath within a short period of time. I plan to exchange for the Pathfinder coat, which our other daughter has worn with great success.

I was looking for a summer weight, breathable jacket I could use if it gets a little breazy or starts to rain. This is not it. The description says nylon, but it's actually nylon bonded to vinyl. This kind of material does not breathe and is uncomfortable in hot or cold weather. I was disapponted because I liked the style and fit. Had to returned it.

I ordered my usual ll bean size and it was a little big..which it is meant to be so you can layer underneath. I ordered the Orange, which is a nice color. It is very thin, (which I wanted) and it is easy to pack or carry(very lightweight). Nice length on it..I am 5 2". The real test will be using this jacket in a down pour. Of course once I ordered this jacket we haven't had one. But I needed a rain jacket since I moved to the midwest. Thunderstorms are frequent in the summer. Overall this is a nice jacket as far as styling. Will comment again after I see how it does in the rain.

I owned this rain jacket for almost 5 years and was too lazy/cheap to buy a rain jacket that's $100. Anyways after a year and a half or two years the tape that lines the neckline at the back of the jacket started to peel and cut into my skin. I can understand why tape was used since this jacket is made of plastic and sewing into plastic creates holes, but this jacket wasn't very water resistant either. Two years ago I went to the Bronx Zoo and it poured the whole day and my skin was soaked and I was sweating because this jacket isn't very breathable. I thought about sending the jacket back but I didn't want to pay for shipping and I find the color selection to be very old looking. I suggest spending a few more dollars on another jacket that will last you longer!

After barely making it through my first Chicago fall with my umbrella in one piece I realized it was time to get a rain coat. When my jacket came in I loved it! It fits great and is roomy enough to fit a sweater or sweatshirt underneath when need and rolls up small enough that I can keep it in my bag so I am always prepared.

This rain jacket is perfect for what I wanted, travel, and to be able to wear a sweater under when necessary and there is plenty of room for that. The only con I have is that the daylily color is more of a neon orange, but since this is not going to be my daily attire and the rain jacket is very nice otherwise, it is a keeper!
