Rated 5 out of 5áby OwlPancakes Great Rain Jacket
This jacket has a great fit for a plus size figure! I am very happy with my purchase. It is very hard to find outerwear in plus sizes, that is sized correctly. I am big in the chest and hips, and this jacket fits well over both with room to spare for layering. I will definitely be be purchasing all of my outwear here!

I really like this jacket. The weight is perfect for hot, muggy Florida heat, which really surprised me. The only thing is I wish I hadn't chosen the daylilly orange. It seems like it would be a cute choice, but there's really nothing special about this orange. Comments range from it being a crossing guard jacket to prison wear. But at least my kids would be able to find me in a crowd!

áby TomT20 2nd one, same problem
My daughter has had 2 of these over the years, and after a couple years of infrequent wear and washing (no dryer), the lining peels out from the inside of the jacket around the neck. Called today, and they said it hasn't been changed but I'm welcome to exchange it or get a refund. I don't want to buy the same problem again, but the next level of jacket costs almost twice as much. For as much as she wears it, can't justify a $150 raincoat.
I see other reviewers have the same problem, LL Bean please fix it!
If the lining gets fixed I'd buy again.

Rated 2 out of 5áby MIoutdoors Seemed chincey for the price
While the color and fit of the jacket was great, I felt like the fabric was so lightweight it seemed cheap and likely to rip/tear easily. It's also very loud and scrunchy sounding when you move. I thought the jacket would be a little more heavy duty, especially for the price, so I'll be returning my jacket for a different option.

Rated 1 out of 5áby AnnoyedByThis Trail Rain Jacket
I purchased the Trail Rain Jacket in red last Spring.
I really like the jacket but after only two seasons...1 Spring and 1 Fall...of very infrequent use, the inner lining (plastic) is peeling.
Very disappointing for a jacket that cost $90.00 and I've only worn enough to have to launder it twice.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Jana2 Good for spring or fall
I just purchased this jacket for a rainy baseball game in philadelphia. It was a super misty day with no serious rainfall or gravity to the rain. However, it was super windy so it made for colder conditions. Temps got as low as 39 degrees and it was a very cold evening for spring weather. The jacket is pretty waterproof and lightweight. I am normally a large size 10-12 in tops and I was swimming in the large when I tried it on. Once I put the medium on it was perfect and still had room for layering underneath. I paired this jacket with my North Face fleece summit series jacket and to be honest I was still cold! My hands were freezing even in the pocket all night long. I really should have brought gloves which would been the best option, but I did begin to shiver all over due to overall cold and not just from my torso area. It was very comfortable and I love the black because it goes with everything. I like how spacious it is and doesn't cling to my hips like some other rain jackets. I'm curvy and not particularly in shape so I like being able to hide what I can! lol I would say this jacket is better for warmer and possibly humid rainy days where you just need to be dry. Or you can be prepared with better layers, unlike I was! I only gave 4 stars because it is a little expensive for such a thin fabric that just protects against wind and rain. BUT comparing it to most rain jackets on the market, this is considered affordable and the logo isn't flashy and in your face like other outdoor brands. Overall, decent jacket and will protect against wind and rain. It is just a shell.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Espresso143 Better than expected
I admit that I was disappointed when this jacket first arrived. It seemed too lightweight and somewhat flimsy. But, after wearing it on two trips, I've change my mind. On both trips I paired it with a lightweight LL Bean down jacket. (To comfortably layer, I ordered a rain jacket that was one size up from my regular size.) On one of those trips there was a surprise blizzard and the pairing kept me very warm and dry walking around outside. On the second trip, it was drizzling and very windy while I was out and about sightseeing. The jacket definitely kept the wet and wind out.
There are two things that could make this a 5 star jacket. The velcro on the sleeves could be more substantial (it keeps coming loose). The fasteners on the hood could be made more secure (they tend to slide loose).
Basically, I am pleased with my purchase and look forward to trying it out in the summer.

Rated 2 out of 5áby Manhattoe Ok, but.....
It's a good looking jacket, but the first one I owned had a problem when the taped seams on the inside open up and the second had a problem when the elastic on the left cuff failed. Too bad, I liked the jacket very much. If those problems are solved, it's an excellent jacket for the price. Good thing LL Bean stands behind its products.

Rated 2 out of 5áby luckylynda I really wanted to like this
This jacket is well made and has some great design features but it just doesn't "breathe". I tried it walking my dog on 3 rainy/drizzly mornings and I couldn't tell if it was keeping my dry because I perspired so much - either way, I guess it wasn't keeping me dry! I have to return it :-(

Rated 1 out of 5áby PatNY I wanted to like this jacket but...
I wanted to like this jacket, even knowing it wasn't of the quality of the Gore-Tex stowaway jacket. However, I am about to return my second one. Each one failed within a few months in the same way. The lining tore at the back of the neck. When I received the second one, I knew it was going to happen again because the jacket comes flat as a pancake with a very, very hard crease at that exact point.
