Rated 4 out of 5áby hikerfrau Narrow in the shoulders
The trail model jacket fits and flatters my apple shape and there's room to layer. But it's narrow through the shoulders.
I'm disappointed because I like the hood design (it stays out of the way), the packable light weight fabric, and the cheery orange color.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Beanyfamily Flimsy Lining
I hate giving LLBean such a low rating because generally I have nothing but good things to say about the products I buy from here, but I've bought this jacket several times over the last few years and have always had to return it because the inside lining starts peeling and falling out all over the place. I do love the colors it comes in, the outside protects from the wind and the rain every time, and the pockets are roomy enough for carrying things so you don't have to carry a bag all the time. I will try a different type of LLBean jacket without this kind of lining next, but I think that if LLBean is going to keep selling this jacket they should find a different kind of lining that doesn't peel so quickly after purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5áby marshan Waterproof outside, flimsy lining
Purchased this ~6-8 months ago. It kept me dry and I loved it until I noticed tears in the lining around the neck. I'll continue to wear it until more lining falls apart. Next time, I'll look for rainwear that is more rugged. I would suggest the same to a friend. First time I've ever had an issue with LLBean product.

Rated 1 out of 5áby NYbirdwatcher SORRY I PURCHASED THIS JACKET !
Although I have no complaint with the outer fabric material
used on this jacket, because it seemed well made and was
waterproof and attractive, the entire problem with the jacket
is the light grey "rubbery like" , almost "onion skin thin"
"lining" material used on the inside of the entire jacket and
inside the hood as well. I have only had it about one year, and have only worn it in early Fall here in the Northeast, and in early Spring months. AND, to my GREAT dismay & disappointment,
I discovered the other day that this "rubbery like" grey thin lining
has puckered greatly all around the neck and inside the hood and is PEELING OFF similar to how skin peels off after a
sunburn ! It is a total MESS in appearance now and is easily
seen when I wear the jacket ! There is no way to hide the peeling and the Pink color fabric of the outer shell shows through now
where the grey lining is flaking off ! So now I can NOT wear
this jacket at all due to the CHEAP rubber like material used
inside the jacket!
Over ten years ago I bought this very same jacket in blue and
it did not have ANY of this grey rubbery lining and it was just
the outershell fabric which has held up beautifully all these
years and I still wear it outdoors! If only they had left OFF this
CHEAP thin lining on my current jacket it might have lasted
a lot longer !

Rated 3 out of 5áby blouise Love this but.....
I love this jacket and have had many but I am getting very frustrated with the lack of quality of the lining. It peels away after a short time and looks awful. The outside of the jacket wears very well. Wish the inside did.....

Rated 1 out of 5áby DrSoos16 NOT waterproof
I bought this jacket for the increasingly unpredictable Maryland weather. I've worn it twice - once when it was drizzling and once when it was raining a bit harder. Neither time did it hold up to the water. Not even a little bit. I would've been more protected wearing a fleece. The first drop slides off then the second drops are absorbed instantly.
I would not recommend this. I will not buy another. I could not be more disappointed with a LL Bean product. I will be requesting my money back.

Rated 1 out of 5áby Aspence Shredded lining
I would love to say that I love this jacket, as it traveled to Ireland with me, hiked the north woods of Michigan in spring, and eased my commute through the Windy City, however it is nothing but a let down. After about four months of wearing it the lining started to peel near the neck seam. I continued to wear it , as it kept the rain out, however after one wear after the first peel the entire lining is shredding out. As soon as took the jacket off there were tiny shreds of plastic lining in my hair, and all over the floor. needless to say I paid a good amount of money and now have to buy a new rain jacket. It's a bummer...

Rated 1 out of 5áby QuilGirl Looks pretty but lining flakes
I so wanted to love this jacket. It was pretty and claimed to be waterproof. I should have returned it when I purchased it as I thought it was a bit on the flimsy side. I probably have worn it about 6 times in two years. The lining is flaking around the collar and the cuffs. My neck gets wet as it soaks right through. I notice other reviewers mention the same thing. Should have read more when I purchased. I am very surprised at the poor quality. I expect more from LLBean.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Geodog Great fit...quality a little lacking
I bought this jacket in yellow and daylily about 2 years apart. Both turned out to be "day-glo" in color. I like that I can get a well-fitted rain jacket in a 2X and the hood, long-enough sleeves and adjustable cuffs are very appreciated, but after a year you can expect the lining to flake off. They do a great job of keeping out the wind and will also keep out a drizzle, but I expect longer lasting weather-protection out of LL Bean products.

Rated 4 out of 5áby MAScoutLeader Great Jacket for the first year
This jacket is great. It fits very nice, and it works well to keep out rain. I am a scout leader, and wear it year round (it is roomy enough to layer sweaters underneath as well). (I am a 2X woman, and the fit is really nice.) I ordered the blue, and it was exactly the color I expected.
Like a lot of other posts, the lining started to flake after a year. I kept wearing it when there was a little flaking, but now it leaves large chunks on my clothing, so I have to retire the jacket.
I bought the trail model rain pants at the same time, and they are not flaking. (I do wear them less often, but they are always packed along with the jacket.)
My son has the kids trail jacket, and we haven't noticed as much flaking.
