I can't say enough about how great this jacket is for a rain jacket. It's a bit on the pricey side for a rain jacket, but well worth it if you are out in the rain a lot.
I bought this jacket for a family member last Christmas, and she loved it so much that I decided to buy myself one this year, as I recently got a new puppy who needs a lot of walking, and well, it rains a lot here in Seattle!
I normally wear a size 8-10, and am of medium height, and the size medium fit me perfectly, with just enough room to wear a sweater or fleece jacket underneath, but not too much room. The dark royal blue is a good color that blends well with most of my wardrobe. The jacket is well made, with a good hood and velcro on the sleeves. I have received a number of compliments on the jacket, which is surprising for a raincoat!
Overall..highly recommended.

This model of the rainjacket is even better than the first one that I purchased several years ago. The old one is still wonderful but I decided to get a different color. The jacket not only keeps you dry but it keeps you protected from the wind.

I purchased this jacket in a size M and French Blue Color. I read reviews and purchased the Medium. I am 5'2", 150 lbs. and a size 6/8. I am wearing this for the spring and summer rains in Japan and because of the season I should have purchased a Small. The Medium is fine but it is baggy. I do love all of the features and even in the worse conditions I have stayed dry. I wish it had a reflective stripe or design of some kind like the kids jacket because I walk everywhere but overall a great jacket. You won't be sorry you purchased this!

I love, love, love my jacket. The colour is just gorgeous. I got the aegean blue. To fold it into the stowaway, just turn the outside left pocket inside out and fold the jacket into it and zip it up. Presto!

I've owned this jacket for 3 years now and just purchased another in a different color. Nothing is wrong with the first one, just wanted to have another color to choose from. This jacket is WATERPROOF! It can serve as a warm or cool weather coat, a light summer shower coat or a protective overlayer when snowing outside. Don't let the light weight of the material fool you. I take it everywhere and it looks just as nice as the day I bought it. I use it for walking my lab in the rain during summer and winter and even as a top layer while walking him in the snow. I bought the green (great color) and now have purchased the light blue. Who knows, maybe in another year or two the Fushia! Thanks for this one L.L.Bean!

I loved this jacket the minute I took it out of the bag. Then I tried it on. I ordered a 2X. I just lost 25 lbs and have gone from a 3X to a 2X. I went by the sizing chart to order. This jacket was very tight in the chest. It fit perfect everywhere else. I really want to keep it, but cannot fit a very thin fleece pullover underneath this rain jacket. It's even tight in the chest with just a t-shirt underneath. Sleeve length was perfect. It fell below the hip and was plenty long. The hood was just the right size. I will be returning this one. Disappointing!

LOVE it. Great fit, great style, great construction. It was pricey, but I'm hoping it lives up to it's promise to not make me sweaty from wearing it. If it delivers, than this jacket will be *perfect*.
Room for improvement: There are no instructions on how to make it zip into that little pouch. It looks like it is the mesh of the pocket, but instructions would have been nice.

I ordered the bright fushia color and it is a beautiful bright color. I was pleased that it did not have a strong plastic smell. It fit well, and seemed comfortable even with short sleeves. I only gave it four stars for two reasons. One-how the heck do you fold it to stowaway? and Two-the inside mesh pockets each have a two inch opening at the bottom corner of the pocket....why? You sure can't put anything small in there without the worry of loosing it. Now i am just waiting for it to rain and put it to the final test!

Although I honestly returned this because it was too small, I probably would not have been able to deal with the "backwards zipper" (slide on the left and straight edge on the right)...will order a men's size that is not on sale and hopefully the zipper will have been installed correctly.

Great jacket but dislike the pockets. Yes the outside pockets have a zipper, but when you look inside the jacket, it is like fish net and anyone can see what is in your pocket. It also has a second fishnet open (no zipper) on the inside the same size as the outside one. Not happy with it and returning the jacket.
