Rated 2 out of 5áby JAR12 disappointing product
I purchased this raincoat a little over a year ago. Was happy to have a long coat for walking the dogs in the rain. It's been a disappointing purchase, however. The zipper has never worked correctly. This is the most difficult coat to zipper and un-zipper that I've ever had. It doesn't breathe well, either. It also seems as if it's losing its waterproof qualities, even though I've never washed it and have not had it for long. Finally, I'm noticing, as others have, that the lining is starting to peel off in the hood. I agree with others -- not up to LL Bean standards.

Rated 2 out of 5áby raesf liked it before it fell apart
had this coat for maybe 2 years and wore it a dozen times before the inner white coating began flaking and peeling off everywhere, particularly the sleeves and hood. never abused it, never even washed it.
i liked it while it lasted, even though it isn't particularly stylish. it's a shell and fairly roomy so i could layer my light down underneath when it was cold. while it worked, it worked well, but i think it should've lasted longer.
i am trying the fleece lined one next.

At last! A really nice, light, long (about knee length on me) raincoat. Lots of room for layering and comfort. Nice features like 2 way zipper, storm flap and deep inside pockets. I am VERY happy with this product. BRING ON THE DOWNPOUR

Rated 5 out of 5áby bikingrandma Great light packable jacket / coat
I bought this to replace an Isis Cloud Duster rain coat I loved and wore until it was worn through and no longer water repellent. I am delighted - it is very similar but fits me even better. It runs large. I am 5' 3", 127 pounds and the petite small is perfect. Plenty of room for layers too.

Rated 5 out of 5áby HLFXshopper Exactly what I wanted...
Needed a light rain coat / windbreaker that I could also use over a good fleece for colder weather. This is almost perfect, well constructed with a good sipper. I hope that the mesh pockets will hold up overtime. It is somewhat large for the size but allows to layer easily. One negative is the height of the hood. I admit to a short neck but I would have to add 4-5" to my neck in order for the hood to fit properly.

Rated 1 out of 5áby SassyGoat Lining started peeling off almost immediately
Thought I would really like this rain coat. Loved the color and fit, but in a few months the inside lining started peeling off and sticking to my skin and clothing. I would replace jacket, but do not like the colors now available. Disappointed with this product. Not the usual great quality offered by LLBean.

áby PacNWBeth Velcro tabs snag clothes and scarves!
I want to love this jacket but basically have been avoiding using it because the Velcro closures up the front placket (which cover the zipper) snag my shirts, sweaters, and scarves so that anything I would wear (or carry) with it is getting--or at risk of getting--ruined. I am looking for a replacement packable rain jacket and will be returning this one. I am actually quite displeased that several favorite items of mine have been ruined by this jacket. There are perfectly good, functional snaps at the top and bottom of the zipper, and I am suggesting that L.L.Bean replace the Velcro tabs with these snaps. They may require a double layer of material to secure them, but they do not snag clothing, and they are more versatile in that you can snap a couple and have a partially closed jacket when you don't feel like zipping (the velcro pops open too easily to allow this). Below is a photo showing some damage that the Velcro causes when it comes in contact with other fabrics. The little loop snags it causes form holes, there's no fixing that. Beware!

I loved this jacket when I first purchased it. I was thrilled to find a plus-sized rain jacket that fit so well and kept me dry. But, the inside lining started peeling away within six months and now pieces of the lining continue to fall off each time I wear it. I have followed the care instructions and haven't been particularly 'hard' on it. I'm disappointed in the quality and will be looking for another rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5áby LovesRotties Keeps me dry in tropical storms!
I have had this raincoat for about a year and a half and it is one of my favorite L. L. Bean pieces! I am 5'4" with a small frame and the XS fits perfectly. I love how the front of the coat seals nicely and the hood and sleeves fit close without being uncomfortable. I got the Beechnut, a most beautiful green color that is unfortunately no longer offered.
I needed a longer raincoat that would keep my clothes mostly dry in rain with strong wind. We get tropical storms here in the fall and umbrellas do absolutely no good. Recently we had 5 days of solid rain and wind that turned umbrellas inside out immediately. I had to run from my parked car several yards into a building and while my shoes were completely soaked through, every place under the raincoat was dry. I ordered some Bean Boots to solve the soaked shoe problem but this raincoat will last me many more years. Thank you for another great product L.L. Bean, you did not let me down!

Rated 4 out of 5áby Pianista Love it but the silver lining is shredding...
I bought this to take on a trip to Corsica and I absolutely love it! It worked perfectly, packed well, and I love the bright yellow color.
Sadly, within a couple of months the silver lining started peeling in the neck and hood area and is really bad now.
Also, the cuffs get really dirty and it is impossible to get the dirt out in that area so it looks very bad even when clean.
I plan to send it back but disappointed that the only colors available now are ones I don't like.
