I have two pairs of these pants and have worn them for many trips both camping and foreign travel. I like that the pockets are deep and can actually hold stuff. They dry quickly. The color that I have does not show dirt and the pants spot clean easily. They are excellent casual travel pants. But I have some reservations. There are no belt loops and I would like them. I do not wear belts but I do use belt loops for other things such as attaching keys when hiking. The adjustable waist tabs are a nice idea but the buttons pop open. I finally just sewed the tabs in place where I wanted them. Length wise I wear a petite and these are a tad short for me at 5"3".

Rated 5 out of 5 by TravelingNoPath Adjustable, gusset in crotch, 3-season
This is my third pair; I love these pants. They are pitched for casual use, with the cuffs that cinch and the full gusset for easy movement. But the lightly peached fabric and trim styling make them totally appropriate for less casual situations. They would go from work to yoga with grace. In terms of fit, I'm 5'4" and 134#, and get a size 14 because I am hippier to the back than to the sides, so I look best with plenty of ease at the hips. That usually means the waist is way too big. But the waist elastic in these pants has button holes all along it, and there are buttons sewn to the waistband at each end. So the elastic can be adjusted quite a bit. I adjust it and then machine stitch it to the waistband at each end, because I pull it up so much that it tends to pop off the buttons in the laundry. The pants also have elastic and toggles to cinch the cuffs. I never use this feature, so I just cut the toggles off because they make it hard to use pant hangers. Fabric is three-season weight and has a bit of sideways stretch.

Lightweight and very comfortable. Wore them every day at a continuing ed. conference-sitting all day combined with walking a couple miles or so a day and they were great for both. Side pockets deep enough for an iPhone 5 in an Otterbox case. I'm 5' 8" and the medium tall is a good length. Love the adjustable waist.

I have these pants and shorts and I love them. They are so comfortable! I bought the iron color shorts recently and would like to see the pants offered in medium/tall in the iron color. Are they really "sold out"?

Nice pants-material, fit, function, but the pockets bulge. The pants need a major pocket revision. Trying to decide if the pros override the pockets. Not sure if keeping or returning.

These pants are great for all kinds of sports. They are very comfortable, dry quickly, hang nicely so they don't look too "sporty", and I love the elastic tightener in the waistband. My pants are usually too big in the waist and this elastic solves that problem. I've worn these hiking, kayaking, and sailing and love them. Lightweight and cool, just perfect. ( they are not high rise pants - somewhat low rise but I couldn't change the marker below).

In the past month I have bought three pairs of trail pants, two long and one mid calf. The fabric is the most wearable material I now have in my wardrobe, can dress up or down with the styling and looks smooth and neat because it doesn't wrinkle or pill. Have had compliments on the ash color especially. Expect to live in them until cold weather.

After a second tick in as many months, I decided to go back to hiking in pants, even in summer. I just could not stand peeling off sweaty jeans or sweat pants, so I tried these. They are sporty looking and modern--some trail pants are boxy or "mannish". The light color in my size was a little unflattering in the rear, but I bought them to keep up a fitness regimen, and my Ex-officio button down shirt from LL Bean (last summer) looks good untucked. The button adjustment in waist was a nice touch. Loved the fabric--dried fast, no rustling noises, surprisingly had a lot of give. Took a bit to figure out how to get at the cuff adjustments, but handy feature. I tried two other trail pants from LL Bean as well, but decided for the money, I should not have pay to have them hemmed. I will order a second (and possibly third) pair of these in PETITE as well. Black might double as out and about pants on vacation with the right shirt.
I think these would be great for sailing in "iffy" weather--they'd dry fast worn alone and are light enough to not be bulky under my foul weather gear pants, if needed.
