Rated 5 out of 5 by BKBean212 Wicked perfect
I've been an LL Bean customer off and on for years but this is the item that inspired me to start reviewing. These swim shorts are PERFECT. Believe me, I've tried every product that looks anything like this from pretty much anywhere. They are comfortable, flattering, and secure. I got pummeled by more than one wave in them - I lost more than one water shoe - and the shorts stayed put and protected my modesty with nothing worse than a little sand in the (convenient) pockets. Can't recommend them more.

Argh! I shouldn't have paid attention to the reviews that mentioned how large these shorts are. I ordered a size down and that was a mistake, I should have ordered my usual size. I like the fabric and the style, now just need to wait for the correct size to show up. LL Bean is really speedy with shipping though so I know I won't have long to wait.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BusyBeanShopper1849 Comfortable and practical
Typically a size 8, I ordered the small and medium to compare since I have a narrow waste and larger hips (which can make it hard to find a good fit). The medium was very comfortable and roomy however once they were wet, they grew so big they were falling off. The small, while a tiny bit snug on my hips when dry, was a much better fit when wet. Otherwise very comfortable, dry super-fast, and look nice enough that you could get away with running errands in them. Good bang for the buck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by elicooper great suit
I bought the tankini and the shorts. I am very pleased. The suit (12) and the shorts (m) fit great. I am a 5'6" woman that weighs 150# and have a middle age belly. The top covers nicely and doesn't fit to tight. I actually re ordered in another color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Feijao A Lot of Exposure
My problem with these swimming tanks is that the neck is low and the straps are wide on the shoulders. I ended up with straps trying to fall off my shoulders and a lot of exposure when I bent down. I could only imagine water weight pulling the neck line down further. I need a little more coverage from a swim tank.
I also wanted the tank to be lower on the waist. The purpose of wearing the tank is to cover the belly, otherwise I would wear a bikini top! I'm not ashamed of my rib cage, it's the belly that needs coverage.

I didn't know what size to get so I ordered a small and a medium. There was no difference. They were exactly the same size. They were too big, too baggy and extremely unflattering.

I need to read the descriptions more closely next time. I thougth these were swim shorts. I tried them on and love them. I like the cut and the length of the shorts. I realized that they are sport shorts after reading the tag. Oh well. No matter what, I am keeping these shorts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MartiniQueen Ginormous!
I should have believed the other reviewers. They are very big and a weird cut/fit. Gave 2 stars because the idea and the fabric was good.

I purchased swim shorts that I feel will be comfortable to swim in and will be able to get out of the water without the shorts being drawn down by the water.
