I have had my chairs since 2002 (yes that's 13 years!) and they still look great! They are in the hot Florida sun and I cannot imagine having anything else on my front porch.

This was a great shopping experience! Kerrie Anne helped me in the chat room when I wasn't sure if the seat cushions I selected would fit. I was really glad I asked. She suggested a larger size which was perfect! We ordered 2 rockers and the instructions for assembling the chairs was very clear and very well written! It was a lot easier to put together than I expected. It does take two people to assemble, which was recommended. I was very impressed! I also think it is very important that they were made in the USA! The chairs are beautiful and look great on the porch. The associates at LL Bean are Rock Stars!

I bought these chairs for 3 reasons:
1. made from recycled materials
2. made in the U.S. A.
3. a product of L. L. Bean
I am sorry to say they were a big disappointment
The directions for assembly were inadequate. They should have been much more specific. The screws stripped easily (we were using a hand drill - not electric). Then we noticed that some of the screws that should have been put in by the company on one of the two were not (to hold the arms into the back piece), and no screws of that type were included. I would suggest Bean be more thorough in quality control of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by alicebee Only one slight problem
The first rocker was so nice that we ordered another; the second one didn't go together quite so easily. It seemed as if the molding was a bit off, but some sanding of one back rail took care of that. Then some of the screws had too much white paint in the heads, and the hex driver wouldn't fit tightly, so it stripped out. Bean's is kindly sending us some new screws, but this could have been avoided entirely if they weren't painted white. The screws on the little round side tables are just silver, and they look fine?but yes, these rockers are perfectly comfortable, not hard to assemble, and Bean's lives up to its reputation for making things right if they're not perfect.

Great sturdy chair. Ordered for husbands birthday present. Use with cushions is not that comfortable, it pushes the neck and head to far forward- better without cushions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CedarMyGirl Redesign of porch rocker is less than expected
The porch rocker was redesigned after 2011 and it's design does not allow the thick LL Bean cushions or other manufactures of thinner cushions to be used if you expect comfort from this chair. Once the cushions are in place it pushes you forward and you cannot rest your forearms flat on the armrests and this goes across the line of furniture. I purchased 2 rockers, 2 garden chairs, 2 folding chairs and a 48" bench.

I recently purchased this white rocking chair to go on our front porch which was rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy. It is very comfortable to sit in with its cushion in shades of blue. I bought it for my husband's birthday and he is so pleased.

by tmendius All weather Poarch Rocker
We bought 3 of these porch rockers several years ago, and liked them very much. Approximately 2 years ago we decided to buy one more and did buy it and use it. L.L.Bean's supplier changed the design of the seat and back and made it very uncomfortable compared to the original design. They should not have changed the design. It is not a comfortable rocker to sit on now. We sent it back.

I've ordered 3 of these and am about to order a 4th. I've found that the pilot holes for the screws are not always drilled to the proper depth such that if a screw bottoms-out, it is very easy to over-draw it. This happened on the 2nd one I assembled and I had to get a replacement screw. On the 3rd one, I re-drilled all the holes to avoid that problem. On that one, some of the dimensions were slightly off such that I had to loosen other factory tightened screws to assemble the chair (and retighten afterward).
