Rated 5 out of 5 by SeeABee PERFECT solution for cold feet in the winter
I bought my Maine Hunting boots 4-5 years ago after moving to a part of the country that gets a lot more rain and snow. I quickly discovered that the unlined version is perfect in the spring rainy season, but far too cold when there is snow on the ground. I read all the reviews for these liners and ordered them in the same size as my shoes. I noticed when I received them that they are specific - one liner is marked "Left" and one "Right", so you need to be sure to put them in the correct shoes. I put the insole that they include with it inside the liner, as others had noted to do, and thought that they weren't going to work because it was really uncomfortable when I put my foot in to try it out. I then realized that I needed to REMOVE the other (pre-existing) insoles, and now they fit like a champ and are super comfy! I definitely have to use thinner socks, but that is to be expected since the liners add some padding to insulate the boot. I'm wearing them right this minute as I watch snow blowing around outside. So happy to have a solution to cold feet without having to make the (not insignificant) investment toward another whole pair to get a lined boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bostonmama2014 These work well for me!
I just got these boot liners in the mail and I think the issue here is that there are zero instructions on how to insert these liners or what size to order. I called Customer Service and they recommended that i order the liners the same size as my boots.
I had read the other reviews that people had issues getting the liners into the boots. Here's what I did and it worked well. Insert the boot insole (that comes with the liners) into the liner. Loosen ALL of the laces on the boots until you can really widen the boot. Insert the liner/insole combo. Worked well for me! I definitely can't wear thick socks but that's why I got the liners- so I can wear these with work socks and then change into my work shoes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by RockyMountainCowgirl Only disappointing LL Bean product
Believe any other review that says these liners are hands down the most frustrating thing to use! It took me forever to get them into my boots without having them all scrunched up, and then when I put my foot in, they scrunched up! So I tried putting them on my feet and then putting them in my boots and they wouldn't even go in! This product needs a MAJOR redesign. (I bought the same size as my boots.) Just taped up the package to send them back!

-Nice to keep an old pair of boots in action---over 20 years old!
-Perfect fit however;
We need a bit of engineering to keep these puppies in place. Bean added a piece of Hook & Loop at the top of the liner, so get some Hook & Loop [velcro] to attach the liner to the boot.
But that won't be enough. Put the boots on--the liners bunch up. Take the boots off--the liners come half way out. I guess I'll add Hook & Loop to the bottoms also to make the liners semi-permanent. As is, I'll don the liners first and then the boots.
-Nice liners, but WHITE for work boots?
-GoreTex-Thinsulate has kept my feet warm. So far so good.
-Liners, after you slip-in the provided liner soles, fit neatly and are extra-comfy especially on the bottom of the foot. Feels already broken-in.
-Be sure you're buying for "The Maine Hunting Shoe" or the liners may not fit [the name is printed above the heel].
-Yes, I'd recommend these liners to anyone who wishes to put more mileage on their LLBean boots this winter.

I was looking for liners for my winter hiking/camping boots and this is a great option! Felt liners are bulky and don't fit well in my boots. These are fitted nicely and don't have bulky seams like the felt type. There are very few tighter fitting boots available in women's sizes that have removable liners, so these are a great solution. They were made for LLBean boots that must have a velcro piece in them, so I will have to remove the velcro before I can use them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wlhab goretex liners for pac boots
These are perfect replacements for the old felt liners, that you can't seem to find anywhere anymore. I purchased a pair of these hoping they would fit into our pac boots, andn they do! Perfectly!

by Offseasoner Couldn't get liner into my boots
I was unable to get my foot with a size 8 liner into my size 8 hunting boots from the mid-nineties. Perhaps those wil newer boots will have a different experience. The liner stuck out beyond the top of my boots and also didn't have enough room for my toes to fit in my boots. A great idea, but I'll be sending them back. Wish this product came with information about what boots they were compatible with and how to handle sizing. A smaller shoe size would have been impossible to get on or off, but matching size with size doesn't allow room for your foot.
