Rated 4 out of 5 by TravelnShop Good, but too short!
This t-shirt has many fine features. The fabric is heavier than some so no problem with it being too sheer, even in white. It washes nicely and no wrinkles when hung to dry. The neckline is just right and does stretch out. My only complaint is it's too short! Please please please give us an extra inch or two in length, or offer a tall version. I would buy one in every color in a longer length.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BlueHenGrad Great basic, now where are the pure colors?
I do not like heather colors. They look faded and dull on me. Now I am seeing ONLY heather colors in all Bean's Tees. Where are the pure colors? Can't you at least give us a few? Even the unshrinkable tee which was always pure colors, now features heathers. I dip not know how the recent sizing change will affect me, if at all, as I am not buying any of these colors. I gave the T 4 stars based on the many older Bean Tees in my closet, which are perfect except for some shrinkage in length.

I love this tshirt. I bought it in white and I'd love to buy more but not sure if the heathered ones will be as nice. The fit is great (1X) and true to size. I also bought one of the pima cotton tshirts but this one is much better by far. Definitely recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by ShanghaiRed I Wish There Were Better Colors Available!
I have purchased over 20 of these shirts in the past several years and I love them. I only gave the shirt three stars because the sizing, quality and colors available in the past two years has fallen below Bean's usual superior standards.
First I will address the sizing issue. Up until the past year I have always worn a misses XL in Beans tee shirts. I am 5'6 and weigh about 130 pounds. I have been this height and weight for over thirty years so it's not me. Several months back I ordered some of the Beans Tees in an XL and was shocked to find that the sleeves hung below my fingers and the shirts were so long they covered my behind. I called Bean and they sent out exchanges in a size L which fit better but were still significantly longer (2" to 3") in the body than the other Beans Tees I had previously purchased. A customer service representative told me this was because Bean had changed the fabric vendor and as a result had reduced the shrinkage from about 7% to 2%. I'm not sure that is accurate, however, because I measured a new XL Beans Tee against a new and unwashed XL I had purchased over a year before and the newer XL was giant in comparison. It seems that Bean may be increasing their sizing measurements. Whatever the reason behind this issue which I have experienced with all of the tee shirts I have purchased in the last year, it is very frustrating.
While the quality of these shirts is still very good overall, it is not as good as it used to be. The fabric is thinner on the newer shirts and they are not as durable or long lasting. That said, they are still a great wardrobe staple for me.
My chief complaint besides the sizing issues is the lack of good colors from which to choose. I do not like any shade with "heather" in the title. They all look washed out and dull. There has not been a yellow short sleeve Beans Tee available in several seasons. White and cream are great standards, but what about a nice soft pink or yellow? The woodrose was a great start, now, please Bean, build upon it. It would be great if the Beans Tees (in both long and short sleeve) were available in the same colors as the Pima Tees.
If the sizing issues were managed and better colors were offered, I would gladly give this item FIVE SOLID STARS!

Rated 4 out of 5 by nkaufman Good fabric weight, solid T-shirt
I've been switching over the the Bean T because the fabric weight is a bit thicker than the Pima Cotton T. I have found over the years of purchasing LLBean shirts, that the lighter pastel colors tend to discolor in the armpit region due to deodorant (I use Secret deodorant, and have used other brands as well, same result). The other thing that I agree with in the below reviews is the sleeve length is just too short. Like the other gals, I would like a t-shirt that allows me to cover more of my arm, without having to buy an elbow-length or 3/4 length sleeve. As a result of this, I have purchased the men's unshrinkable cotton T in size Small, just to have that coverage (and some nice earth-tone colors to boot, not a fan of the pastels.) Also, I have notice the newer Bean's T's do have a longer hemline, THANK YOU, for this, as I like, again, more coverage rather than less. It seems to me that LLBean is missing the mark about coverage, and should take a look at who their main customers are?middle aged females.

Rated 4 out of 5 by UsualSuspectStill Please add your BUTTER color
No yellow? Butter is such a beautiful yellow, and I am very disappointed not to find it in this t-shirt, which I like much more than the pima cotton T. I hope you will add it. Thank you.

I wish they would come in more colors such as burgundy, soft pink, baby blue, or even chestnut.

Purchased for friend - material is thin and see-through. sizing is off, medium is too small, large is way oversized.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mommycozy Fabric is so soft
I think the fabric of this year's tees is softer than last year's collection. These tees are true to size and super comfortable for wearing alone or layering. The solid colors are better because they don't fade. They are beaten only by Bean's pima tees.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nano7 nice fabric, color, but sleeves are too short
The fabric of this tee is of wonderful quality. It is true to size. The pastel color "AQUA SEA" is awesome. Please carry more of these clear, softer colors in your fabrics instead of the muted, muddy colors we see year after year. There is one mistake imo, in the cut of this tee, and that is the sleeves. They are far too short and it throws the symmetry of the tee off. I agree with TheBean29 review. Please lower the sleeve length on this tee next year, at least 2 inches. Bring out clear, pastel colors and you will have a real winner!
