Rated 2 out of 5 by Westerner66 Tee shirts shrink
I am so disappointed in this tee shirt. I have been trying to find a tee shirt that I love and then will order in every color. This tee shirt was great before washing but after washing it shrunk so bad I cannot wear it any longer. Would be nice to list the length if the garment in the description along with the weight of the cotton.

I can usually depend on LLBean t-shirts to be A-OK. If it's advertised as relaxed I always order down to a Small; otherwise I get Mediums. Don't like my shirts too baggy or too tight. Usually pretty consistent and reliable to order that way. But this t-shirt could not be a relaxed fit. Before washing, it fit a bit more snug than a Small relaxed normally would, but was certainly a keeper - loved the length and was overall very comfortable. Then I washed it. Shrunk considerably in length and in width...it fits now like a fitted XS all over. Plus the neck opening seems smaller and doesn't have as much give for pulling over your head like LLBean shirts usually do. The fabric is very soft and a nice weight, however. Am not sure whether to return for a Medium; I don't want to get hit with two return shipping charges if the Medium relaxed is too big (which they usually are). I have rarely returned a washed shirt, never felt right doing that. But sizing in many LLBean items has become so unpredictable that I'm not going to keep them any longer. If they shrink so much that they become a completely different size, then back it goes from now in, including this one. It's a shame, because the fabric feels very nice.

I am 5'4" and this shirt would have to be hemmed 3 inches to look right on me - and it flares out at the bottom. It is really unattractive. I am not sure what the designer had in mind but it doesn't work. Returned.

I routinely order t-shirts from L.L. Bean because they don't need ironing, and stay fresh for years. About the only complaint I have with them is that if you splash bleach on them, they kind of lose their allure. I so much like the heather colors, and this one was the orange spice heather. I wore it so often that it had a few too many adventures, so now I am ordering a new one, plus the long-sleeve version as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ginnytoo Shrinks too much!
I bought four of these shirts. I only wore three. Compared to the unworn, unwashed one...one shrank about two inches and the other two shrank one inch! Very disappointed.

Saltwater blue is a lovely color and this color should be offered again. However, the sizing of this (M) T-shirt isn't as described. It isn't "relaxed fit", but "slightly fitted" approaching "fitted". I choose only the relaxed fit sizing since I'm large busted (34G) with an average petite figure. The shirt was tight all over and would have been tight even if I didn't have the fitting problem. The same shirts purchased a year ago fit beautifully. The shirt will be returned.

Have been buying LL Bean clothes for years. Have never had a problem with any of the items except for this one. After washing this item, it lost it's shape. It shrunk up length wise..and stretched out width wise. I never put my clothes in the dryer, I use a drying rack.

This is the kind of product that makes you get your money's worth. This is my third one. There might not be any curvature of style.... but this has a lot of class. Very comfortable.

This tee is very well made and a lovely color (thus the three stars.) But warning - it is very boxy, so much so that I returned mine. I need a shirt that will flatter my body, not make me look squat and square. Kudos on putting time into workmanship and using quality materials. Now it's time to put some thought into fit.
