Rated 3 out of 5�by LongTimeCustomerOfLLBean No tall Comfort Waist; Side Elastic no help w/ gap Have worn Double LL jeans for years....the ones I, obviously, got years ago. I am trying to get new ones simply because I have worn the others for so long that they're losing color, esp at the knees. I'm running into some problems with size and fit. First of all, I wanted to get Tall again, and it's not even offered in the Comfort Waist. Those 2" beyond Medium Tall really do matter. I gave in and ordered Medium Tall because I have liked other features, such as fit and being 100% cotton. Oh boy, does the waist ever gap in the back with these -- like 2" or so from the body. That has never been a problem with the previous Double L jeans I have purchased in the Comfort Waist. Although the most recent ones I purchased, years ago, moved the elastic from the waist to the sides, which generally doesn't help the gap - thank goodness the bayside twills still keep the elastic in the back - they did take care of the gap. Something in the cut has really changed. I had ordered a size up to achieve a similar fit in the thighs from what I'm wearing now. I'm going to try ordering my usual size to see if the waist is any better and if the thighs loosen up during wearing. I hope that works, because I can't find other jeans with elastic in the waist that are 100% cotton. I would recommend Double LL jeans to a friend with a different body shape. LL Bean, please consider offering these in Tall again. May 29, 2013

Only complaint I have is that the fabric in the black jeans collects every type of lint possible and it's nearly impossible to keep them looking good. May 14, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5�by ladeda Stiff and snug I ordered my usual size 12 petite, and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them or not. I put them on once before going for a hike but decided not to wear them as I was afraid I'd be uncomfortable, and that's a kind of bad sign. The fabric is heavy and fairly stiff, at least when new. The waist is very slightly higher than expected, as if perhaps they didn't adjust the rise when they made these a petite length. It's not too extreme though. What concerns me is that the all over fit is a little snug, as if designed for a stretch fabric, but this is a very solid denim with no stretch at all, and I'm afraid the next size up would be too loose May 1, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5�by ohiogirljb Comfort waist not comfortable on me I have bought Bean relaxed fit jeans for year. I tried these this time because I wanted some black jeans. Now that I am a little older, I thought the comfort waist might fit better when I sit down. It didn't. The waist band is really high, inches above my waist, and when I sit down it digs into my ribs. I would prefer the hidden comfort waist style without tight legs, or the stretch jeans, but I alas, they don't come in black. Hope bean will offer the stretch bootcut jeans in black and other colors soon and/or the lightweight classic jeans in other colors. April 25, 2013

I fluctuate between sizes and regular or petite lengths, so it helped to go a little larger for comfort. Everything else fits well too, rise, legs and waist. March 30, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5�by eightysomething Great jeans for the mature woman I ordered these jeans in regular length but they felt too short so I reordered in med tall and shortened them about 3/4 - 1 inch. Really like the fact that they sit at the waist since I still like to tuck in my shirts. Comfortable too! They are good quality denim. I am about 5' 5" tall but have long legs. I have them in two colors now. March 5, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by oldkayakkat Well made and comfortable This is at least my fourth pair of the comfort waist jeans. It should be obvious I am very satisfied with the product. I tend to wear clothes forever or until they fall apart. So far none of these jeans has fallen apart. This last pair is in black. I am happy LL Bean offers them in several color choices.
