I have 4 of these shirts, long sleeve. I love them. The left pocket is big enough to hold an ipad mini !!! The right pocket (with the zipper) has a diagonal opening good for inserting a pen or small pair of reading glasses without having to open the flap or zipper...very handy. I love the velcro on the flaps and cuff closures instead of buttons. Be advised the shirt appears pre-washed or weathered so it is definitely casual, but I wear it to work anyway, often under a sweater because it does wrinkle. I also like to wear it with a turtleneck underneath so I don't have to wear a tie, although I suppose I could. I will buy more when they go on sale again.

Tried one of these shirts but will buy no more of this kind. Not up to LL Bean standard.
The only thing I really like is the patch pockets. Rarely get two pockets anymore.
Shirt is hot and after only one wearing, looks like its been worn a week. Wife hates it and even ironing dosen't get out the wrinkles.
Come on LL Bean, you have done a lot better than this in the past.

I bought this shirt as a hot-weather alternative to the canvas shirts I usually wear outdoors. It ain't! The fabric is a thin and tightly woven cloth that doesn't breathe. Any sweat spreads out in big blotches on the thin cloth, but it does not evaporate quickly because of the tight weave.
Too bad, because the shirt has some good features such as the mesh-lined flap on the back and pocket flaps with Velcro closures. I would admire the clever, hidden buttons for the collar, but I fail to see their utility on a "trail" shirt.

I purchased one of these shirts and after wearing it a few times I purchased another three in various colors. Love the secure pockets and hidden button down collar. The moisture wicking material keeps you cool and dry. I wear them when riding my motorcycle and the mesh design works well in the Texas heat and humidity. They are not wrinkle free so after washing they will need some care. I use a steamer to work out the wrinkles and keep them looking fresh. Good shirt, fair price.

I bought 2 of these for a vacation trip. Love the pocket compartments. The material seems to be thicker than similar shirts sold by LLB in the past and it doesn't seem to breathe as well. Lots of wrinkles after washing - needs ironing, something very hard to do on vacation.

looks nice and wares just fine , dont wash it....dry clean it only lite starch...
if, if you opt to to use water, it will wrinkled up ALOT,then it becomes a avarage wrinkled shirt...:(

Wore this shirt while travelling in Greece during very warm weather. It was comfortable but the hem should be squared off so the shirt looks neater while worn outside of the belt. The shirt also is not wrinkle free, but that's okay because wrinkle free treatment ruins cotton's ability to wick away sweat. Secure pockets are good defense against pickpockets who are plentiful in more croded venues. Washed the shirt while travelling and it dried rapidly, but needed an iron to look decent. Overall a good product.

I have now purchased two of these shirts to use while doing float trips and traveling in warmer weather. It is quick drying, fits well, and is a really good all around shirt for any type of summer type outdoor activity. I have other similar brands and these tend to wear better and retain their color than the others. All in all an excellent warm weather shirt that performs as advertised.
