Rated 4 out of 5 by LoneStarTexan Needed washing before use
Overall, we like this blanket and would probably buy another one. We live in south central Texas and it is just right for our mild winters.
Problem #1: Upon arrival, the blanket smelled very "chemically" - like some kind of petroleum byproduct - it was too stinky to use right out of the box. So we washed and dried it in our front loaders and problem solved. Stink gone and it fluffed up nicely.
Problem #2: The thread count of the blanket cover is not high enough as this blanket sheds feathers. Feathers are constantly floating through the air in our bedroom. Our old cheap down blanket (which we replaced due to the feathers clumping) never had this problem, but then the cheap cover was a higher thread count.

Blanket color, superb; sits firmly on bed; warmth just right for tropical winters; cotton sateen has nice touch; most satisfied with product.

I've had this blanket for 2 years. It is wonderful--cozy, pretty, and not too bulky. I never overheat nor need to add another blanket. Plus, it isn't a pet-hair magnet like my fleece blankets. My pets sleep on the bed and this blanket has stood up to lots of "kneeding" and games. Is it 100% down-proof? No, but about 98%--what does escape is very tiny. I have the twin size, and put it through the wash recently. It actually fit in the HE washer w/agitator, and came out beautifully. I plan to buy another one of these when/if this one ever wears out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NebraskaBeanFan Great Blanket
Have had this for 2 years and use it for the spring and fall. We use it like a comforter but it is a blanket, not as heavy as our Bean comforter, but that is exactly what I wanted. Great weight for the shoulder seasons. A little bit of down looks like it wants to creep out of the seams, but nothing that will make me stop using it. Washes and dries well.

The weight is perfect, but the sateen attracts every bit of lint that flies by. (I ordered the dark red.) I put it in the air fluff but with no result of looking better. I'm returning the item.

I ordered this blanket in a twin because I have it in a king and love it. They are very different blankets, as this one has bascially no down in it. Flat as a pancake. I sent it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ReadingMomof3 Soft and just the right warmth
This down blanket is just the right warmth for kids' beds. It makes it easy for the kids to make their own beds--they just shake out the blanket and back it goes on the bed.
The price at first seemed high to me, but now I believe it's an excellent value because other, less expensive ones I have had in the past have shed feathers. This seems well-made and sturdy, and I hope will last a long time.

The spouse and I decided to use two separate (personal) covers on our queen bed. I'm hot and he's cold! (Go figure.) This down blanket is absolute perfection for me, 4 seasons long, and for him it's perfection for 3 seasons. (He likes the other LLBean down comforter for the winter--"warm" style.) This blanket launders in my regular washing machine and dries to perfection in my dryer or over the deck railing. I have the twin size for my half of the queen bed. I just fold it in half lengthwise when I make the bed. I would love to buy another in a different color, but the one I now have is in perfect condition after two years of every night use. Aren't you dying to know my #1 favorite LLBean product? (Cresta hiking boots.)

This is our most used bedding in our house. One we bought for my husband ( in the Navy) to take on the ship with him. The other was a sale we couldn't pass by. Neither match with anything we have but they are by far my favorite. I'm not sure why it's called a blanket because I use it like a comforter, just like it's pictured above. We also roll them up and take them to our camp with us on weekends. This blanket is year round, washes great (mine goes in our washer and dryer, and often). Our yellow one is at least 10 years old and still looks perfect. The dark purple isn't quite as old and shows sone fading.

I had been sleeping with 2 heavy wool blankets & a thermal blanket in the winter. I keep my window open at night and the heat turned down low, so the room is cool, and I am cold much of the time. The weight of the blankets was too much so I decided to try this down blanket. I put it on the bed with one lighter wool blanket on top of it. It is a very good size & is long enough to easily tuck into the bottom of the bed. What a good night's sleep I got and continue to get. The blanket is light, and with the one wool blanket keeps the temperature just right. I have had no shedding. I got the cream colored one and it goes well with my khaki colored spread. I have been telling my friends how wonderful this blanket has been.
