Many button down LL Bean shirts don't quite fit me right, usually the sleeves are a bit too short or they seem too big. I'm 5'10", average-to-fit build, and the medium fit me great with perfect length sleeves. And the birch color looks really awesome. I might get another in another color. April 21, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5�by OceanStorms All canvas/linen is not created equal... I completely agree with the man who said this is his new favorite shirt, and for the right reasons. I note the fit to be form fitting in a great way-billowing where I move most, conforming where I want it to. The striations of the cloth accent this for greater appearance, and the cloth is smooth from the outset. I refer to the Birch Canvas, of course. The Navy (like the Rosewood before it) is a different matter. After washing, it feels gummy and fits poorly. Never thought I would end up with a rack full of Birch shirts, but I will. March 28, 2012

It's not a slim fit at all. It's notably baggier than other LLB Sig shirts I've purchased in the past. February 6, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5�by JeansAndATie Wierd Shirt Tails The shirt has a really nice slim fit. The fabric is very weighty and warm, making this a great weekend shirt. The buttons are also really unique. I'm not sure what they are made of, but they are heavy, and seem very durable. My only issue is with the shirt hem. The hem is sewn at a very steep angle from the tails to the hip, and ends up too high at the hip. As a result, the shirt looks very odd untucked, and when worn tucked in, I find myself constantly re-tucking at the hip. January 31, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5�by AMAB Great fabric! Sometimes I order a shirt from LL Bean and it would easily fit a mature grizzly bear. This one has a trim fit to it, which is nice. I do wish it came in a grey color. Highly recommended.......looks great with a tie and jeans. November 5, 2011

Natural variation in the pattern of thread widths creates a laid-back aura, while the tailoring is sharp and adds a level of sophistication. Very versatile. I only wish they came in more colors.
