I got this for my husband as a gift. After two days of wearing it on his belt, the leather belt holder ripped and he can no longer wear it on his belt. The leather belt holder was just too thin. It seems it was built more for looks than for actual use; it didn't hold up while my husband was working on the farm.
I offered to him to return it for another one but he's not at all confident that a second one would be made any differently.
I got it on sale and with a coupon so it's not even worth returning for the small refund.
Very disappointed, LL Bean.

The old LLBean sheath was about worn out so ordered this one! I like the horizontal vertical capability of this sheath and the clean design for rugged outdoor use. The one problem I have with most sheaths is that they arrive very stiff and need some leather treatment to soften them up for use!

I always carry a knife on my belt and it always gets in the way of the seatbelt while trying to lock in. I have a nylon sheath that allows it to be worn horizontally, I prefer leather but as yet had never seen one that could be worn both ways. This is not a cheaply made item, the leather is top grade and made in the USA, (always a plus in my book). Worth every cent.

Was pleasantly surprised at fairly good quality of this knife sheath.
Leather is good and finish is good. Several different knives fit this piece well. This is a very good bargain for the price. Recommend this for medium size pocket knife replacement sheath. I may just buy another for myself.

I bought 2 of these for knives my brother gave me for Christmas. The leather is good quality and the fit is perfect. I use them all the time while hunting. Definitely a good buy.

I purchased this item about a month or two ago as a replacement sheath for a Leatherman Core. Fit was tight but with slight stretching over a few days, it fit PERFECTLY.
I have since worn it on my belt continuously.
Unfortunately, the sheath is now ripped. The part of the sheath that attaches to the belt is very thin leather compared to the rest of the sheath. After a few weeks, it stretched so that it was easy to place onto the belt. Unfortunately, the belt attachment continued to stretch. This morning, the belt attachment point ripped almost completely in two places. I could have very easily lost my multitool. The sheath needs to be redesigned with thicker leather at the belt attachment.
I am in the middle of trying to return it (and expect few, if any problems). LL Bean's return policy is very generous; I am planning to return directly to the store.

After shopping everywhere, online and in retail stores I discovered LLBean.. Good
deal on the product, price of shipping and quality of this sheath.I use it for my Gerber supension utility tool. It is good leather.I would have given it 5 stars but some of the stiching is pulling loose. I can fix this easily. Its far better than the $25 nylon sheath that comes with most multi tools.
