Rated 5 out of 5�by Dannyboy12 Good Backcountry poles My wife and I have been using these poles for both backcountry and touring center XC skiing for years, and we noticed this year that one of her poles was bent near the bottom so we purchase a new replacement pair. They are made by a first rate Austrian manufacturer, the same as the the other ones we own and should last my wife many many years. February 27, 2013

The poles and straps are fine but it was the deep snow baskets that made me buy these in the first place. I am going to try and exchange them for the basic cross country poles which look to have a more standard basket and tip. January 25, 2011
