Rated 5 out of 5 by Jackmanite size check
As was the case with many other reviewers, I found that the "recommended" size was too large. If you are buying replacement ski poles, buy the same size you are used to- not the size that is recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grietje Good X- Country ski poles.
My husband has used them once and likes them. They are light , the length appears fine and the cork grips don't slide. Durability has never been a problem with LL Bean's products, therefore they get 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GnatInTheOutdoors Excellent, lightweight poles
Finally replaced my ancient cross country ski poles with these excellent, new ones. They are an inch longer than my old ones, but are working out great. I like the cork handles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Buckinator Great Poles, Great Price
Bought these when my 20-year old fiber glass poles broke. I ordered the recommended size for my height and they are slightly longer than my old poles, but are great in the snow, giving me good push when gliding or double poling. The cork handles are comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mainerunner Great cross-country ski poles
These are nice cross-country ski poles. Others claim that the poles "run large" and I did not find that to be true at all. I measured my old poles and the new ones were spot on and in agreement with the sizing chart for my height. The poles come to my armpit which is a perfect height for cross-country skiing. They are strong, light weight, and nice quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JohnD1969 L.L.Bean Touring Ski Poles and Discovery Skis
Purchased one pair of bare skis last year and the second pair this year. The CSR was most helpful instructing me in how to mount my old bindings. We do not get to "groomed trails" much so these are just what we've needed. After trying to ski with our longer "skating style" poles we purchased the Bean Touring poles--according to the Bean size chart recommendations--and found them to be the perfect match to the back country skis. Now if we could just get some snow!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by NCbikechick Made for Hagrid, not Harry
Do not trust the size chart. As other reviewers have noted, the ski poles "run large." Well, I ordered one size smaller than the chart said - and the poles were STILL too big. I think I will order poles for someone who is 4'5" and maybe then they will fit someone who is 6' tall. Geez, I wish they would redo their charts! There goes $6.50 in return shipping!! Otherwise, the poles appear to be well made. It just stinks that I have to return them because of a bad chart.
