Rated 5 out of 5 by Anma Blue Snowflake Sonic Saucer
I bought the blue snowflake patterned sonic saucer for my granddaughter and her reaction was exactly as I knew it would be... "It's awesome, Anma!". Several years back, I'd gotten her the extra-large snow tube which she and her friends love, so now, with this saucer, they have yet another means to enjoy the thrill of "flying" down the hill

"AWESOME" that's how my two grandsons described the sonic saucers! I bought a saucer for each boy and they love them. A few years back, I bought each of them their much loved snow tubes and these saucers are the perfect addition to their winter snow "toys".

very disappointed in the saucer. it does not go well at all in the snow. the less expensive saucers work much better. Not worth $40!

We have the LL Bean inner tube type sleds, and enjoy using those. We wanted another type of sled for variety - we find depending on the type of snow you've had, certains sleds work better than others.
We weren't disappointed - this sled is for kids to manage and to carry back up the hill, it works for our preschooler to our preteen - and it's durable/rugged. It's taken quite a beating so far, and still in great shape (good quality#.
I've used it myself and found it fun as it spins, and it's easy to hang on - works well for us - we've had a few sticky starts #depending on the type of snow# but generally, this works very well. Much better than most we've ever tried.
So we enjoy our tube type and our saucer and I will be picking another one #or two) up next time we're in Maine. Highly recommend.

After some cheap sleds broke quickly, we purchased this one. My kids love it. They say it is fast and it has held up well so far!

Boh boys love the sleds. Have one in camo blue and camo green. They are sturdy, nice size, and go fast. Just what to active boys need.

Bought these for Christmas for my two kids and of course snow was not to be seem this year!!! When the first snow finally did fall, my kids were gung ho about their sleds and enjoyed going down the hill once it was packed down. My son was running and jumping for that extra burst of start off and his sled cracked about 5 inches in from the edge. He only weighs 90 pounds, so I am hoping we just got a defective piece of equipment since it was his first time using it!!! LLBean did do an exchange very quickly and with no hassle, so kudos for that, but I hope that this will not be a repeat issue. The sleds were fairly expensive ($40.00 for plastic with the LLBean logo) so one would expect them to hold up a little better.

Bought 2 of these for xmas for our daughters. The first time we used them, one of them cracked on the side. LL Bean exchanged for new one without a problem. They did work well in the snow. We haven't had a chance to use the saucers since, so we will see how they hold up.

We bought 2 saucers for xmas and eagerly awaited the first snow, which finally came in January. We brought out the saucers and tried it on a small hill, but they just wouldn't move. The kids tried it, I tried it, but no one was sliding. It was very disappointing. I don't know if the snow condition wasn't right - it was light and fluffy - or whether the saucers' lip design keeps getting caught in the snow causing it to drag... We tried it the next day when the snow was a bit firmer, but again - the saucer just doesn't move well. I bought 2 - and I'm thinking I might bring them back to the store if I find the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeanBobber Flying Saucer
My kids got these from Santa on Christmas, but it took untill mid January for the first snow. They were so anxious to give them a go, and it was worth the wait. They totally enjoyed flying down the hills on these well made hard plastic saucers. As they were making their runs they learned to shift their body weight and spin the saucers, going sideways and backwards for that extra thrill. I also like that the strap handles are fastened on the top rim of the saucer, which allows for their hands to stay inside the saucer as opposed to some saucers that have indentations on the sides. My wife and I even took a run or two. Great family fun for all, enjoy and stay warm my friends.
