The insect shield is great. No more being saturated with DEET to keep the chiggers from eating me alive!!!
The fit was not so great: (1) legs too long, had to run a tuck around each pant leg to shorten. Couldn't hem due to zipper at ankle.(2) loose in waist - definitely needs a belt (3) I would prefer an at the waist rather than just below the waist fit

These are lovely pants; beautiful material. However, they are way too long for me. I wonder why none of these in your online catalogue comes in petite. Because of the zippers are the bottom of the legs, it's impossible to shorten. Will need to return. Sorry and sad.

Rated 4 out of 5áby andrena nice fit but waist is loose on me.
Needed to size up to accomodate my thighs but waist is larger than i would like. am keeping them because they are comfortable and will have someone take the waist in for me. I have to wear a belt which i don't like to do when hiking .
overall well made and comfortable.

The fit is what it claims and they are even better after washing. They are very comfortable and nice to work in. They are long even after washing and I have long legs. They are also baggy in the legs. If you do not like baggy these are not for you. The zipper on the bottom of the pant leg is nice for putting on boots. The short s length works for me and comes an inch or so above the knee. I purchased these pants because of the chiggers that had been plaguing me every time I went out on my 5 acres to work or walk around. I was dousing myself from head to toe in insect repellent w/ deet. The chiggers still managed to find their way to a place I missed and I had to be careful where I put my pants and had to wash them every time I wore them in the yard. These are awesome, no more chiggers on my legs or tummy! I still spray my wrists and gloves and around my sleeve openings and chest at least until I purchase an insect shield shirt. I love them.

I love wearing these pants when I am hiking. They give me peace of mind, knowing that they will repel ticks . . . and mosquitos.

Other reviews warn that this item runs too big, but I found it fit my regular pants size (16) without being too tight or too loose. The lightweight material was comfortable in hot, humid weather, and I didn't get bug bites, which I attribute to the InsectShield. The pants wash well; I used cold water and minimal dryer time.

Love the fabric, fit was a little big, but I prefer them this way. Looking forward to wearing them on my trip to India.

Our construction site is thick with ticks. These pants are comfortable and give me peace of mind while doing my job. Once the workday is done, I can zip off the legs and be cool and comfortable while wandering around town. But they aren't just for work, I own three pair of these pants. The are the perfect pants to take camping or go hiking in. Functional pockets and the "bermuda" short length is a plus.

These pants are great for hiking and any water activity. Love the soft material and zippered pockets. They run large; recommend ordering a size smaller if in between or in doubt. The colors look different in person: Light Khaki is very yellowish and Slate looks like sable brown which I prefer anyway.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Disciple Purchase regular pant size
Normally I wear a size 6 pant but followed the suggested size chart so ordered a 10. They were huge so please order your regular pant size. Otherwise they would have been a keeper as I liked the styling, high rise, longer convertible pant option and insect shield. I have two older pair of hiking pants so will wear those on my Peru trek this late spring and not re-order.
